Etihad Stadium will again become an Essendon cauldron this Sunday when the Bombers take on the best in the competition, Geelong.

Coach Matthew Knights is expecting a sold-out crowd of more than 50,000 fans and says the players will be helped by a huge Essendon presence and match-day theming.

In addition to the theming unveiled before the Round 7 Hawthorn game (see details below), on Sunday there will be a louder air-raid siren to welcome the team onto the oval, louder audio on the main bridge from previous games and a massive new banner running along the side of the bridge.

There will also be an Alpha Locker Room near Gate 5 which will give all fans the chance to go inside and watch a message from Knights and see game highlights. Plus, you have the chance to play Nintendo Wii against an injured Essendon player from around 1:30pm.

At add to the atmosphere and help create a home-ground feel, simply wear red and black to every game and show the boys your support.

GET TO THE GAME!!!!:thumbsu:

I will be at the game... i think i've been to more geel games than essendon this year :S

geel vs. haw
geel vs. coll
ess vs. carl
ess vs. rich

nope the same

missed anzac day coz my best mate (pie supporter) dislocated his shoulder earlier in the day playing club footy + his girlfriend broke up with him so i sat next to him at his house for moral support and didn't utter a word when zaharakis kicked that goal. it's like bottling up a giant fart and going red in the face. :(

hi just wondering. .
Probaly a dumb question but i have an essendon 11 game membership and have not been yet.

It is a bronze membership. What does this mean in terms of payment for entry?

Does the membership do anything?

Or do i still pay?

also will i have certain seats or just general admission?

Sorry to bug but really want to know. .
Thanks guys :):):thumbsu:

A game day membership would give you access to the ground - however not ensure a seat. You would need to pay a booking fee to tickmaster about $5 to lock in your seat. Otherwise you can risk it at a home game & turn up. I recommend that you book a seat as most EFC games are fully ticketed & get in early.

Last time I went on that membership I ended up with level 3 seats even booking, but they were fine as I got in early and we won !

And another $5 'handling fee' to print that ticket out, sadly. Bunch of rubbish, I really wish the AFL would play us against the Dons at the G but oh well. By the way there will be plenty of us there Sunday too don't worry about that.

If they thought we were going to be in the position we are then they probably would of, but who expected it...

With Geelong playing well (and support up during this time obviously), Essendon are easily strong enough no matter how they are playing to warrant this game being played at the G I feel.

we should always play geelong at the 'G.

we always pack out the dome when we play, and crowds of 70,000 were standard in the 90's

Is anyone else having trouble getting on the ticketmaster website? trying to book tickets for some mates. Seems to be down?

Can't stand ticketmaster. I booked tickets for the Hawks game on the Monday of the week of the game and could only get Level 3 Row X (2nd last row) but they released some more tickets later in the week for Level 1 which shit me right up the wall.

Same deal on Monday for the Cats game but I decided to take the risk and wait it out a couple of days until they release some more tickets. Should probs check the site now.

Maybe stop waiting til Monday? I bought mine last week and had the choice, but I actually like level 3 as long as it's one of the first few rows, much better view of the whole game.
