I don’t want someone who has coached before, they traditionally suck. Look at Kingsley at GWS, bloke has been an assistant for years.

And he won’t be sacked this year as we will play finals. Going to really need it to fall apart and we are too good for that to happen until May retires.

I'd still look at Buckley. The guy lives and breathes footy and was unlucky at Collingwood. I'm not saying sack Goodwin right now, but looking at coaches who could fit in nicely, Buckley would probably be at the top of my list.

We should sack Goody and hire Craig Jennings. I miss Jennings ball, was a blast.

This just about sums it up for me, the guys philosophys on the game are just completely outdated, you can't expect to beat the best teams consistently when your entire mindset neglects offense.

Goody's so ****ing infuriating, it's like we aren't worried at all about trying to win and are so headstrong focused on trying not to lose. Halftime in our last 4 games we've struggled to kick 5 goals it's ****ing disgusting to watch

Before he became an assistant coach with us, my only memory of him was him being stalked by a chick who actually got on the field of a game to approach him

He's our famous forward coach Gregg Stafford, the guy who we put in the role to save some soft cap money during covid and who was also our ruck coach before that and who we've stuck with since then even though we probably now have enough cash to get a proper forwards coach.

Watching Weitering getting into position for another one of our 50m up and under forward entries, I was struck by the fact that after 5+ years of the game being dominated by marking intercept defenders, Goodwin and his mates in the coaching box still haven't understood that these guys feed off kicks which travel 50m because it gives them time to get to where the ball is landing.

We see it when we bomb to the wing second kick after a kickout, when we go for a slow switch and end up hemmed in on the boundary kicking down the wing, and when we're out and running through the middle but end up roosting it 50m to where the intercept defenders are waiting.

If you're not coaching to avoid kicks which are made for these intercept defenders then don't complain that our inside 50s weren't up to scratch, because what do you expect.

But Goodwin has convinced himself that dominating inside 50s but being in an arm wrestle which comes down to a roll of the dice is our brand, so he's not willing to change it.

I remember listening to Richardson on 360 when he was Saints coach thinking how have you been put in charge of anything? I don't get it. Give me some personality please.

Remember last year when we had Trac win us the saints and Brisbane games up fwd? Then Goody scaled back his fwd minutes over the next month until he was at below 10%.

Hate to be a doomer but if he didn’t learn the lesson last year he won’t this year.
