In the 60 or 70's when we lost 3-4 GF by less then Kick and most we could of won the game but the Biggest reason is the 1970 Stuff up vs the Blues

there is no such thing as colliwobbles.. they died in 1990...
but, having said that, during the 90s my stupid carlton supporter of a mate would constantly piss me off by mentioning the colliwobbles after every match we lost... i hate the term colliwobbles... it gives me nightmares..

Yes... those demons were buried in 1990. I srsly do not know how my parents got thru the 60s n 70s. So during the 1990 GF( i was only 3 1/2 at the time :( ) we were on our way back from queensland during hail storms in the car with dodgy reception of the game... so come september this yr i may do the same.

In 64 we lost by 4 points, in 66 by 1 point and in 70 by 10 after leading at Halftime by 44.

In 77's drawn Grand Final we had what should have been a match winning lead at 3 quarter time .... in 79 we led by 21 points at the start of the last quarter in 81 we led and ended up losing.

The Colliwobbles came from being up at 3 quarter time and getting run over time and time and time again!

Ask any Collingwood supporter who saw the 1990 Premiership and they will tell you we didn't start believing we could win it until late in the last quarter....

Never a truer thing said!! We dominated after qtr time and it wasn't until time on in the last quarter when I started relaxing

I dont see the Colliwobbles going away at all.
Even if we can win a flag this year the wobbles will arise again once we lose another Grand Final.

So if we have the Colliwobbles still, what does Geelong have?

Losses in 89,92,94,95 and 08, and part from 95 and 89 they were read hot faves.

The Colliwobbles are dead, we buried them, and any Collingwood supporter who refers to them is like one of those freaks saying they saw Elvis at the local store.

Matty unlike Geelong the Colliwobbles are not just about lossing, it's about being the better team and being in a winning position then throwing it all away.....

Yeah I know why we have the name, I'm just trying to say that we are not the only team with such a bad record in GF's,kind of like trying to find ammunition if some opposition supporter brings the term up again.

Most people dont understand that in most of those GF's we shouldnt have actually been in them, much like 02,03.

Collingwood has a history of making GF's that we simply should not be in, when we are the 3rd or 4th best team, and that is where some of these GF results came from.

Also many seasons in late 60s early 70s where the pies were dominant in the H&A season up til rnd 18 or so, only for things to go pear shaped and the side would fall away in the final rounds and go out in straight sets.

The little pres who came in and turned all the old posters of the champions around as he didn't want the current players to feel the pressure.

I grew up with the 90s football, losses and no finals...........I still think I would have preferred the colliwobble years as at least then the pies were still up and about winning and playing finals.
