The Crows MUST pump the Power

You know you're blokes will be trying to lay hip and shoulders every chance they get and drive people into the ground with every tackle. And of course we'll see plenty of Power players run past the footy to deliver a bump rather than trying to pick it up themselves.

Maybe, it won't help them if they do - I just hope our new hard nuts (Tex, Bernie: take a bow. :D Was that VB  going at Enright? ) don't get sucked in. Can't afford suspensions any more than injuries.

FWIW, I doubt the new Mr Clean Coach will encourage/allow hips, shoulders and elbows. Isn't one of his briefs in his 7 weeks to encourage a new supporter base, to make a break from that "old school style of Footy"? I would think the Power Board have made it quite clear there needs to be a new look.

On the other hand, bad habits are hard to break. :p

I guess the indication will be Chaddles - if he's in, so are the bad habits.

Relevant article quoting Cassisi on the AFL website:
"PORT Adelaide skipper Domenic Cassisi says he expects tough onballer Josh Carr to stay within the rules of the game in his attack on the ball and the man in his AFL swansong against Adelaide at AAMI Stadium on Sunday."

Re Chad, it said:
"But the biggest question mark hangs over out-of-form veteran Chad Cornes.

Cornes was dropped for brother Kane’s 200th game last weekend but is a proven showdown performer and Cassisi said the utility had already expressed a desire to play in Carr’s last game.

“Chad provides a lot of experience out there and he’s a great mate of Carr’s as well,” Cassisi said.

“Chad gets pretty fired up emotionally for the showdowns, so it’s great to have him out there and if he does get the opportunity this week he’ll definitely be looking forward to it.”

Sorry, what is it or what should it be? Fortunately for you guys the Victorian Media have hopped on board the 'great to see that old school style of footy' after a few of the more memorable Showdowns which is basically a get out of jail free card for anyone who performed a suspensionable act during the game.

You know you're blokes will be trying to lay hip and shoulders every chance they get and drive people into the ground with every tackle. And of course we'll see plenty of Power players run past the footy to deliver a bump rather than trying to pick it up themselves.

If they do that they will get pumped.

Port win Showdowns when they play football and not thugby.

Our boys always rally against that kind of tactic, look at Essendon in the final last year.

My concern will be if Port decide to play some decent football.
