Damn, Am I the only person in this country who dosen't have a Blue Ray player?

By the sounds of it, it's worth just going out and buying one for the Dark knight alone.

It really just depends how much you like watching movies. If you watch a lot, I'd get one, the step up from DVD to BR is huge. And if you like video games as well, just get a PS3 because its still one of the best BR players.

I wouldn't go around buying my DVD collection again on BR or anything, but all new movies I get are BR. Way more immersive, visually and the sound alone is just incredible.

Sony have heaps of deals on at the moment for 'Black Friday' (release of TDK), especially on the flagship BDP S350 model. Have a look at JB, shoudl be pretty cheap.

*This all relies on you having a decent television though. If your TV can't go at least up to 1080i, it won't realyl be worth it (I'd recommend having at least Dolby 5.1 as well)

Wow, I thought The Dark Knight was massively over-rated. It was okay. I enjoyed Batman Begins more though. Heath Ledger was great though, best potrayal of the Joker yet.

Watched it on BR, the Imax shots looked amazing. Although I found the cutting between Imax shots and non-Imax shots a little distracting.

The sound quality was amazing though. So worth it.

Tried to get the Blu-Ray from Big W yesterday for the cheap price of $31.93, but of course, SOLD OUT, that was 1 day after they started selling it too!

Now I have to either ring around all the Big W's to try and find one, or go to Video Ezy where they are selling it for the alright price of $34.

I rented this the other day and just watched Heath Ledger's scenes again. It was worth it.

Sort of like the people who will drive 30 minutes and wait in a queue for another 45 minutes to save 10 cents a litre on fuel. That's $6 for a standard 60 litre tank, meanwhile you have spent half of that saving getting there and the other half idling, starting, restarting while waiting and ended up an hour late for work or wherever you are going.

You need a Blu-Ray player, its a separate format from DVD (but will still play all of your DVD's)

I thought that the second time I saw it (Bluray). I watched it again the next day and enjoyed it just as much as I had the first time. Definetely worthy of being in my Top 10.

Same. Very good movie, but I thought it was a short of part one. Loved the original - thought the progression of Wayne 'becoming' Batman was handled brilliantly.

I think this movie was good, however in Australia and world wide more emphasis was placed on it because of Heath's death. Looking forward to the third installment and should be interesting how they tie the ends of the Dark Knight. I'm assuming they will just make it that the Joker was arrested and kept in an asylum or something.
