What a great pick up by the club, his inclusion has taken the pressure off Smith and allowed him to get back to career best form. Once the Seed adjusts to his new environment and hits top form, look out.

It might only be round 4, but I'm already sold on having two quick long kicking wingmen in the side.

I find it funny that they wear the same coloured blue boots in matches. Purposely trolling the commentators and fans. Such a similar running style as well, can't tell them apart.

I don't think the club could have found a better player to compliment Brodie Smith's playing style if they tried. Wearing similar boots is definitely a great foil for the opposition. Unless you can see the number it's near impossible to tell them apart sometimes.

I just love how much it seems to annoy Brodie as well. :D

Whoever in the football department decided to go after Seedsman deserves a pat on the back. I hesitate to use the cliche, but a real "moneyball" acquisition. Compliments the game-style perfectly and was ready to go from Round 1. This is the kind of acquisition that Sydney have been good at for 10 years or so now (at least before the Franklin/Tippett heists). Not glamorous acquisitions by any means, but bloody effective.

I agree, I would rather bring someone in who is going to bring something to the side rather than spending a massive amount to bring in a big name who add very little solely and buying them solely based on their name.

Early days but liking what I'm seeing so far. Let's wait until a whole season plays out at least before we call this a successful trade.

I think for pick 32 it's a win, but ultimately it will depend on how Bonner develops at Port as that's who we more than likely would have taken if we kept the pick.

Spot on. Has done very well and I'm impressed with the way he was given a role and has been allowed to settle into it.

His biggest career issue to date has been consistency, so let's hope he can raise himself to current levels every week.

Great pick up and will only get better

Silencing a few Adelaide (supporters) so called trade experts
We were smart picking 2 players up around the 50 game mark as they should start showing some consistency... Particularly when we already have a young team.

Wonder if Seed's actually improved since last year, a large portion of the Collingwood board are not particularly complimentary of him although some descriptions of him don't really match what I've seen so far.

Fast ball movement, fast players, love it. And to think we have Hampton and Chuck Csmeron waiting in the wings.
Was going to say this, well, I was going to say we might have dash quintuplets. Smith, Seed, Cameron, Hampton and I've watched him carefully and Menzel is no snail either.

I have to put my hand up and admit that I didn't rate him anything higher than mediocre. I never saw the anzac game and the few games of our that I'd taped that he was in he was terrible, hardly got any of the ball, kinda like he was in the first trial games, seems he's just gone from strength to strength getting on the end of a few and then smashing it with his leg.

Also he did a couple of good spoils on the weekend, one from off balance, shows he might have a fairly handy defensive skillset hidden away as well.

Looked through the Collingwood board regarding opinion about the Seed. The majority didn't seem too fussed that he left. Anzac day medalist, but few and far between for him.

I've been pretty impressed by what I have seen. Whether that is attributed to him suiting Pike's gameplan, Buckley being toxic and a fresh change of scenery suiting him (completely plausible with their current form) or that we are just seeing the best of him, it is waaaay to early to tell.

Good signs early tho :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Neale would be a hugeeeeee get. Don't be fooled by the height, the guy is a clean cut clearance specialist, he'd be an upgrade on Thommo and he's what..22 years old?
Lachie's gone IMO and it'll just take one first rounder. Which could be pick 12-20, I'd do it in a heartbeat. A very talented player. Could break out even more and become a top 10 mid.

Imagine we got Neale with a first rounder then Heppell & Hurley for free (DFA), it could realistically happen.

The best thing those bombers players could do is leave Melbourne... The amount of shit they cop here is enormous, I'm talking out on the street, it's nasty. Their quality of life is paramount, wouldn't surprise me if their managers are endorsing them to go interstate.
