Andrew Embley went into the round 17 game averaging 25 disposals. But that was until he got Dempstered to only 12 touches and no influence on the game.

Round 10 Ballantyne gathered only 13 touches and didnt kick a single goal. Dempster was named StKilda's best player for his job taking home the match ball. In Round 20 he gathered 11 touches and didnt trouble the scorers again. Dempstered twice in the one year.

Brent Harvey has been Dempstered twice in 2011. Round 15 when he only gathered 17 disposals and had no influence on the game at all. Then in Round 23 he had only 16 touches, 5 clangers, 2 FA and didnt trouble the scorers.

In Round 22 it was Ryan OKeefes turn to be Dempstered. Restricted to only 16 touches and a goal it was a dirty day for OKeefe as he had no influence on the game at all.

Hopefully they keep it up into September/October

Maybe instead of handing out yellow/red cards, Kildonian can hand out DEMPSTERED cards Does he have the power of changing the writing that comes up when someone is carded

so i was at the bar the other night and this chick wouldn't leave me alone...
....finally i had had enough and told her that if she didn't stop annoying me i'd put dempster on her and that she'd get 'DEMPSTERED'.
she thought dempster looked fine yet a bit like grammy but that getting DEMPSTERED would be okay.

I sort of see being Dempstered as setting out to achieve something significant but the person or thing doing the Dempstering makes your attempt look somewhat pathetic.

In my example, I thought singling out an umpire as clearly being unbiassed ( Dempstering StKilda ) would be an insulting award. But maybe my post was a fail ( different to being Dempstered because it was self inflicted, rather than caused by an object or person doing the Dempstering ).
