Phar Lap won ONE Melbourne Cup. yOU ARE RIGHT No one will ever dispute the impact Phar Lap had and continues to have on Australian history, BUT Makybe Diva is the Greatst Horse that has ever Run in Australia.

I do think the controversy leading up to the race did taint Makybe's win slighty, but whether it had been watered or not i think we all know in the end he still would have crossed the line first
