I run the sweep at work and it's money back for last.

Phar Lap died young, probably because of all his travelling. I think he could have won 3, especially if he was carrying 58kgs.

For the past few years they have waterted the track once, the afternoon before the cup.

They have been soaking this track since Saturday.

1) I think that statement is hard to deny. People's affection for horses would surely disappear if there was no money at the end of the day?

2) I said it was overreacted to. Nearly evryone in the room I was in were laughing at some of the things being said. It was a great achievment I am sure, but in my view does not rate with the great human sporting achievements.
