The ever growing injury list

Doughty, Burton, Edwards, McLeod and Goodwin are feeling some heat from behind so they're taking down the competition

You can accept that some of our recent injuries are freak situations (Otten's knee, Danger's hand) however our training or the labour intensive zoning gameplan has to be brought into question at some point.

Stress fractures, such as Bock's heel, Knights foot, Van Berlo's back are the really concerning ones that can be caused or exacerbated from overtraining.

Is it just coincidence that the Hawks and Crows are the two teams with the worst luck with injuries over the last 2 seasons??

Don't worry guys, I heard Schwerdt on the radio tonight and they are going to have a thorough enquiry as to why we have suffered so many injuries. He did mention they are going to see if "work load" is part of the problem. So in other words the same guys that designed our training programs are going to investigate whether those very programs have decimated our list and ruined our season. They are going to investigate themselves. Hilarious.

Seriously the boys club is going to have to do some heavy spin work to keep Schwerdt from losing his job. If, as some of us think, our season has been ruined thanks to a pre season of over training then Schwerdt, as the fitness manager, must be given the boot. If the AFCs "thorough";) enquiry determines over training wasn't the problem, then Schwerdt still must be given the boot as the 22 put on the park every week are clearly underdone and poorly prepared physically.

There needs to be a massive black cat cull.:).

I'm going down to training to find this big black cat cause it must be firmly wedged up someone's clacker at the club.

When I find it I will extract it, head first, so it can't dig its claws in and further, I will then strangle, shoot and set fire to the F%$ker.

FGS the injury toll is beyond a joke!!!

Because of our poor goal kicking Danger tried to widen the posts but I don't understand the rest.
Good point.

Also our turnovers mean that we have to do a lot of sharp turns. Everyone surging forward then suddenly sprinting back to defence on the double. Must be tough on the body. And this happens almost every time we are in possession. Some of the defenders must be getting stiff necks from watching balls sail over their heads through the goals too.

On the plus side we haven't had one instance of a player poked in the eye during a high five :thumbsu:

The Melbourne Herald Sun prints this thing called a Full Strength Indicator (FSI) which is said to be "a percentage figure that reveals how close your team is to fielding its best 22."

They rate us 91%. () They put Dogs at 92%, Geelong at 92%, Carlton at 92%, Hawthorn at 92%, Collingwood at 92%, West Coast at 90% and Richmond at 86%.

Could that be right? Are our injury woes no worse than half the teams in the league?

Are we really fielding 91% of our best possible side?

FWIW, Port Power are strongest, at 99%. :(

Does this make sense to you?

No it's a completely useless flog statistic that serves no purpose, you have almost half the squad injured yet your at 91% what a joke.
Without Westhoff and Motlop out for port how does that in any way make any sense either.

we're missing Knights, Dangerfield, Mackay, Otten and Symes...probably one of Sellar or Moran could be in our best as well...
