We've dropped four without any of the ones people have been calling for big-time - the likes of Morton, Bate and Bennell.

My take is that if you can't get a game for the worst non expansion team in the afl, nor can be one of the best in a vfl team, then later dude.

There is no way we would get a first rounder for Cook. At best straight swap for an out of favour player at another club. Maybe Jessie White from Sydney??

It retrospect we should seen this coming. If report of him crying at the first training session under the old regime are true, then he wouldn't have gone well under Neeld and Craigy.

I put little credence in the Gysberts reports, like Blease he will sign on in time.

I recall Richmond doing something similar circa 2010? The reason we get so upset is that this was meant to be the rebuilt team, not the new list of outs. Imagine 2010 with a good first rounder: Howe, McDonald, Nicholson

No surprises so far. At least we won't be wasting 4-5 years on Cook trying to find out whether he'll make it. I said last year that he'd never make it as a key position forward, and I highly doubt that he'll tear it up at another club.

Note to all recruiting managers. Do not use an early draft pick on a key position forward unless he is an elite junior player, and has the ability to play senior football in their 1st season. Don't believe the bs that they need 4-5 years to develop. Recent history tells you that all the current gun kpfs were considered elite juniors, and were drafted accordingly:

Reiwoldt, Franklin, Pavlich, Roughhead, (All top 5 picks)

Brown, Hawkins, Cloke (Highly rated F/S picks)

I am glad Neeld's hardways is clearing out the deadwood, the club might not had to make the call on delisting any players as they are being found out. As Charles Darwin said "survival of the fittest" and is very true in this sense.

Before the start of the week i would of been calling for the likes of Bate, Bennell, Jetta, Joel Mac, Spencer tobe delisted, but now after recent events i would prefer to keep players of less ability but are buying into Neelds ways as opposed to more skilled players who do there own thing.

I wouldn't be surpised to see Petterd go, and also Gysberts as he played great footy at vfl level and wasn't given a go. Bate to be delisted but i do think he is one player who gave neelds new standards a real go.
