Incidentally, when I read that this episode was going to be about King Shark, I thought it would be a lot more fun than it actually was. The first episode on Earth 2 was great, but the last couple have felt like I'm watching Arrow.

Hopefully they dial back the moodiness at some stage.

I think the moodiness is them having Barry grow up and become a hero for more then just Central City. have him learn that there are consequences for time travel and have him own his mistakes so he can learn from them. and like Oliver said in the first crossover its not all fun and games where you get to give the bad guys cute nicknames, Its a serious life or death business. And Earth-2 Joe's death was the statistical for that because he loves Joe and its the first person close to him who has died since he got powers where he couldnt save him.

Also Jay gets a memorial in STAR labs after dating Caitlin for a few weeks but her husband Ronnie got nothing. found that funny

Yeah but I don't want to watch another angsty superhero show where everyone takes everything way too seriously.

Having superpowers and running around in spandex is fundamentally silly. The Flash is at its best when it rolls with that and has fun.

We got the man claiming to be Jay Garrick, Zoom, Earth 1 Hunter Zolomon (unless he's actually Zoom) and quite possibly the man in the iron mask. Don't like waiting a month to find the answers.

College Basketball conference tournaments and then March Madness.

But also gives them more time to film ahead of what is airing now and finish scripts. They take a shorter break then other networks over Dec/Jan then take an extra 2 weeks in march then the other networks.

Anyway I thought I'd rewatch season one finale, and I noticed two things I didn't notice the first time. When Barry travels back in time, we see a vision, if I'm correct, of Killer frost from the other time line.

oh, just the Jay Garrick flash helmet coming through the portal, and Thawne said that it was his cue to leave. I didn't notice that the first time around. Did he know something about the helmet, or was it something else.

just teasers when you travel you see potential timelines and alternate worlds, like how thy had supergirl in it when they went to earth 2

Overall, I thought this season lost some momentum having such a big break over Christmas. I found it hard to get back into once it started again.

Ok return ep at least they didnt drag out them finding out about Jay. I thought there reactions were a bit weird too or maybe over the top, but im still psyched for the final stretch of the season Im sure have plenty in store for us.

Was expecting Barry to speed force travel to National City in his rage at the end, esecially as they established his emotions or andrenaline play a part in that at least for time travel it does.

Based on the evil voice in the girls head, I'd wager that Zoom is the evil part of Jay that split off and the guy with the mask on in the glass box is also Jay.

Maybe the Earth 1 Jay won't have any part to play at all. All the Jay's on Earth 2 are just from different timelines where he is slowly being introduced to velocity 9. I still think the Jay that we saw with the team has good intentions. He is aware of what the Velocity 9 turns him into in the future, hence why he is hesitant to take it.

Much like the reverse flash episode this season, we have less developed versions of Jay running around trying to stop Zoom, but also to try stop becoming him

I find it interesting they just aired ep 16 and Kevin Smith was only directing ep 18 last week. Thought they would be done well in advance, no wonder they needed a month break
