There's a difference between an opposing view and a downright wrong view. Those with views that have been scientifically proven to be incorrect deserve to be mocked.

There are things that should be questioned, there is no doubt about that. That the earth is not round and is in fact, is incredibly laughable and should never be questioned.

The only authority that is needed is viewing images of Earth taken from space - and there are thousands of them.

I'm not claiming the Earth is flat! I'm not claiming that it isn't either!

I, as we all are, am ignorant of the Universes great mysteries.

I find it odd that every image of the Earth taken from space, is obviously and blatantly CGI.

Claiming pictures are the only authority needed is...

People being mocked for an opposing viewpoint is a stupid concept.

You cannot have an opposing viewpoint to a fact. If you oppose a fact, you are just wrong. If I disagree that 1+1=2, then I do not have an opposing viewpoint I am just plain wrong.

At one point or another in history (repeatedly), society has been completely wrong, about things we were completely sure about.

Many people are too narrow minded to question their own beliefs and that is the reason that the world is such a mess imo.

The people in this thread, are exactly the type of people, who would have laughed about the concept of people getting sick, by invisible things called bacteria...

Just because we can't make sense of things with our puny little brains, doesn't mean that it is not possible.

I think people that are claiming to know so much about the universe are delusional, as are many in this thread, the only reason they believe anything they're saying is because someone told them it was fact.

Your claim that all photos of the earth taken from space are fake (CGI) suggests otherwise. But you don't have the courage of your convictions to state that that is what you believe.

Keeping a skeptical perspective through life should not be confused with blatant disregard for verifiable truth.

You are missing out on all sorts of amazing science if you can't get past this pebble on the road. Get your head(s) out of youtube for a week and pour through the abundance of scientific resources at your disposal. Online and for free.
