Is he? 5 years in the list and he's only managed to be best 22 for half a season.

I like easy, but it's getting pretty clear his ceiling is a Shaun McKernan like journeyman.
Nothing like McKernan .....Himmelberg has a footy brain, and compliments Fog

That is true, McKernan managed to be a best 22 player for a couple of seasons at least.

After all, to be overtaken by Frampton of all people after having a hot end to the 2020 season paints a rather vivid picture. One that Himmelberg lacks the drive to make it. He'll end up delisted at the end of 2022.

Complimenting Fog is also an irrelevant point, seeing Fog is at best, a complimentary piece. Who any of our forwards needs to compliment is Thilthorpe, who our next decade is going to be built around.

Himmelberg doesn't have the mentality to make it, football brain or not. After all, to be overtaken by Frampton of all people after having a hot end to the 2020 season paints a rather vivid picture. One that Himmelberg lacks the drive to make it.

One of the reasons Frampton was played over Himmelberg was the club trying to get berg to push himself harder to go to another level .....it was a developmental situation, not that Frampton is a better player

The question is not of Berg's talent, but whether he can push to another level, the club believes he's capable of

I mean, that was the positive spin some of us tried to put on it, yes. It's not like that's an official line from the club. It's just a guess.

Another possibility, probably more likely, is that the club thought Frampton was a better player.

Which was a ridiculous decision. Himmelberg has potential to be a decent forward. Great footy iq

you can his second half the year really flew off the rails

I was very happy with Fog's latter part of the year. The goal accuracy dropped away because his legs were heavier because he was doing more work. We all know he needed to learn to do more work.

If I was him I'd keep going down that path for another season, needs to boost his fitness again this offseason, then needs to work on doing in game work this forthcoming season, then season after he needs to learn to blend the skills of knowing when to work and when to take it easier to keep the legs better for shots on goal.

Also, one promising thing was if you plotted his shots on goal versus the ladder position of the opponent, you can see that although his accuracy dropped off at the end, that's when he was playing some of the better teams and we were overall going a bit worse and he was still getting the same number of shots on goal.
