You'll need a new crack/no cd to go with the new patch. The one that worked with the original release won't work with a patched version. But that said, this is easily the best value for money game on the market because you'll get more hours out of it than anything else, so it's worth forking out for.

Agreed:thumbsu:. I'am no saint, download what you want. But Football Manager 2007 is worth the purchase, i'd never download it.

I have just recieved my copy of FM2007 from a mate at work for the XBOX360, does anyone play it on the 360?, any differences in gameplay, it looks identical as the PC version. I have been playing LMA2007 but its not deep enough, also any of you lads play the A-League?

I have no idea how someone like this could come through the York youth ranks.

He's already a walk up start at AMC and is by far the best talent in the squad. Sunderland, Newcastle, Everton and Hearts are interested, but I'm keen to keep a hold of him for at least another season.

What do you mean? If your player gains a work permit then you won't have to worry about it again until his contract is up, then you have to hope he receives another one.. I'm pretty sure that's how it works.
umm well i have nathan burns, fred and a mate that is in the game...but it wont let me play them because it says something about their work permits, i dont know but it is frustrating as fred is gettin upset and wants to leave but i cant play him because of it..?? cheers

In 07 they let you sign players without a work permit if you have a feeder club in a country such as Belgium or Poland you can send them to.

Once theyve played there for 2 or 3 years they then gain EU nationality

Pablo Aimar is in ridiculously good form at the moment.

He's mad six apperances this season for an average rating of 9.17. That's how good he's been.

Also, Mista is in fine form - three appearances, four goals. Not bad for a free signing, eh?

My first season in league two is going well. After winning promotion we're clear on top with a 6-0-1 record. Andy Moore looks like he could turn into a wonderkid, he's scored 4 in 4 with an ave rating of 8.

Just lost my best striker for 6 months and my best defender for 3 months so things look like getting a little tougher.

Playing as Celtic. Champions League semi final agains Real Madrid.

Van Nistelrooy (31)...****, ok need to score.
Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink (87)......yessss equaliser.
Archie Thompson (91)......yeeeeeeeeeeeees, celebrations. While the thing at the bottom is still flashing "GOAL FOR CELTIC".

BZZZZEOUTEUIOUEU.

Power Faliure.................havnt touched the game since

Mate....thats rough. Would be pretty hard to replicate that sort of result again. Chances are you could play that game another 10 times and you'll get done every time.

I've only recently bought this game. Started as Arsenal last night and have traded out:

Ljundberg (AM)
Abedayor (SC)

and brought in:

Luca Toni (SC)
Marcelo (DR)

I got a DL to allow Gallas to stay as a central defender (his best position) and I'm not convinced that Clichy is that good.

After 3 EPL games I'm sitting on top of the table with 9 points and have just won the manager of the month. As well as beating some crapola side in the Champions League playoffs 5-1 in aggregate. Pretty happy with the start but my next game is ManU at Old Trafford - going to be tough.

I wanted to get Ribery in but Marseille don't want to get rid of him - besides, I've only got about 10m pountds left and I reckon it will take a bit more than that to get him.

Has anyone else had trouble with eccentric keepers?

They're superman when they play for the opposition, but when I give one a start, they're ****ing terrible.

Has anyone ever seen this site?

http://www.football-lineups.com//players/

It is unbelievable that someone has put something like that together. It has the formations (and where each player within it is) for pretty much every match for the last 2 season for all of the major European leagues. It would be interesting to check some of them against what FM2007 says is their best position and how often they actually play there.

Here's the recent ECL game between Arsenal & PSV for example:

http://www.football-lineups.com//games/?game=4848&t=Arsenal - PSV Eindhoven

It shows that Arsenal were playing a 4-1-3-2 (when they have usually been going for a more traditional 4-4-2 this year). I tend to like playing my Arsenal team with either a 4-1-3-2 (away) or 4-3-1-2 (home) so it's good to see them actually have that formation in real life.

Pretty cool site really.

I have guided Australia to the 2010 World Cup after finishing 2nd behind Japan in my group.

With Stalybridge I am 3rd in the new season with 3 wins in a row. The first one i was unable to change the tactics because i had to serve a touchline ban, first time it's ever happened to me. I came from 0-1 down, led 2-1, fell 2-3 down and then scored twice in injury time... the winner came in the 95th minute. Amazing win but frustrating as some of the subs made by my assistant manager were a bit strange but it got us home in the end.
