Though it would be interesting to go over the guys who are almost completely forgotten about. Those guys who's names come up and you're like "Did he actually play games for the Crows?"

I got the idea after seeing non other than Barry Standfield running around in 1997. When I saw him I immediately thought "Who is this guy?"

So he came over from Footscray and played good footy in the first part of our premiership winning 97 season, kicking a couple of bags of 5 goals and finished with 23 goals in 13 games. Not bad. Turns out his form took a turn for the worse in the second half of the season and he was dropped, never to wear Crows colours again and was delisted after one season.

Let's all take a moment to remember the forgotten number 16, Barry Standfield.

Only memory I have of him is him running into an empty goal square, turning around and showing the ball to a player before kicking the goal.

It was at Waverley Park, so it could be the Saints or Hawks.

Pretty sure it was Hawks and it was the reason he was dropped

I got heavily on the sauce with Matty Collins in the wee early hours of the 97 flag. At the time, it may as well have been Mods or Roo.

I can't recall what he was like as a player, but I'll always remember him as a top bloke... The guy who got me and my mate through some heavily guarded doors. Good times.

Barry Standfield was a gun at CHF in AFL 98 on PC. Became very well known to me and my mate for mainly that reason.

He was actually the catalyst for me and my mate having a rare-Crow-off during a long game of cricket a few summers ago. Every over we'd come up with a rare retro Crow and tell the other bloke at change of over.

Matt Golding. Ruckman. Played a few games (7) in 1999 when we were savaged by injury. Was awful at pretty much everything. Was only 196cm and had virtually no leap. We'd have been better off with Ormond-Allen in there.

Can we please change the title?

Every time I read "Remember a crows" - I just think it's referring to someone who has died.

Maybe, forgotten crows players or something like that.
