Now that it looks certain we will loose Fev and we have no first round draft picks this year and the next 5 or so draft's will be sh1t. Are the kids we have going to be able to win us a flag in the next 3-5 years? I think we will be O.K but I would like to hear your opinions.

i dont know how to feel about this trade.

Would Macdonald have been better than bradshaw?

Im not sad to see Fev go, he was great for us, but hey no flags came with it.

I love the club and the club are greater than the individual.

As for fevs scoring prowess, if i am to be positive about things, it would be to say that we really dont know what sort of forward structure we have or might have because we always kick to fev.

The opportunity is for the other forward players to step and and show what they can do. It means that we might be less predictable and opposition teams cannot just sit a player in fevs path to block his run.

Be positive people there are other teams that win with a spread of goal kickers.

next year, and the rest of this year will determine if we will challenge for the flag in a couple of years. It must start from the end of this trade week, to draft day, to round 1, to that first elimintion final.

Fev's brilliance masked the fact that our forward structure has completely sucked for years.

Whilst there will be growing pains next year as we struggle without Fev, it will also force us to develop a new forward structure that we needed to anyway to take us to the next level.

I dunno what the answer is (I'm pretty sure it's some combo of Waite as a lead-up/Kreuzer deep, though), but I look forward to us figuring it out.

Yep Faz I'm with you. I am slowly getting over loosing fev and I am starting to get a bit excited about what lies ahead for us. I only hope the young ones we have will now step up and do the job for us.
Bring on 2010:thumbsu::)
