A place where excessive GFC melts are allowed - and will be moved to in the event of derailing other threads.

A place where, within board rules, those that want to express their.... shall we say displeasure... can come, congregate, stipulate, agitate, correlate and even copula.... well maybe not that far.

Regular board rules apply here so its not a free for all and the penalties will be issued for breaching them.

This place was created in response to the desires of a group of posters to be able to interact and express their collective disappointments.

It is a trial environment to see how it fares.

I don't really understand the nature of these threads - I saw on another board there was one for "melts" and one for sunny outlooks so to speak. Isn't the whole point for both sides to discuss their views and contend opposite points? I sort of get it with never ending "same old argument" type issues, or bringing everything back to "sack Scott", but surely for recent and relevant issues all sides can mesh together.

Is it just to make sure trade talk doesn't continue to infect every thread? Or simply as a black hole to suck in all negative opinions.

It seems we overpay/undercharge on our trades. Which on a individual trade doesnt particularly matter. Collectively it adds up though....... you are waiting for a trade to come back the other way that never happens...

If you calculate the draft 'points' we used to bring in Caddy, Smedts, Vardy and Kersten and then calculate what we got back for them on the trade table ... I would not invest in our trade team based on those numbers.

Satisfied with the Tuohy trade which is a slight victory to us, win-win at worst.

Can live with with Kersten and Vardy going cheaply as our hands were tied.

Pleased to bring in Black for peanuts as depth/insurance, he's shown more at AFL level than Kersten or Vardy ever have.

Very happy we kept Motlop.

Can't and won't accept the Caddy deal. Seriously WTF.

The caddy trade is terrible, the swap of back end picks is horrid. Would have 24 and a future 3rd but we just hand over a pick upgrade? Wtf for?

The only hope I have is we are paying under the cap so we can go over it next year to snag a big fish, does fyfe like a surf?

I think the thing you are missing is the "Geelong wants Deledio". I mean it isn't like we didn't want him, if he was say a FA and didnt cost $800k or so a year, wasn't injured all this year, didn't want 3+ years on a contract, etc. but he was none of that.

Deledio just wanted out of Richmond (who wouldn't unless your a money hungry terd).
Geelong's 2tier players need to improve but I just can't see enough improvement to take us to the next level

Poor player development over the past few years, will need to see some dramatic improvement between now and next season.
