Toast The ignore function

let me preface this by saying that in general I consider myself very tolerant of differing opinions. I very much believe that it is our differences that make the world great. So with this in mind, I have a disturbing confession to make:

I have fallen in love with the ignore function.

I was on the verge of leaving bigfooty because of some of the incessant ignorant posting of a few choice posters on this board. You all know who they are. So as a last resort I put them on ignore. And voila, it was like a dark cloud had been lifted from my bigfooty experience. Reasoned arguments remained, baiting/trolling/bitching was gone. There was still differing opinions, but it was respectful and civil.

If you are having the same experience that i was, I urge you to try the ignore. And as a bonus, if enough of us ignore the perpetrators, they might just get bored of talking to themselves and may just leave the site. One can dream.....

I wonder if any other board has toasted the ignore function yet?

More worryingly, I think ignore been toasted before a few of our players.

Those boys obviously need to lift.

Just a reminder that the ignore function is a worthwhile option for you to explore if you find you are having difficulties with a small number of posters. Many posters have used it with great success.
