Did I miss this? Said he was in the cats rooms on game day 🤯
He was tagged in an Instagram story taken in the Cats room. He wasn't physically there and probably just set it all up through Joe Exotic.

These puff pieces in the sun and daily fail wreak of his manager smoothing over his image for a new club to look at

The Hun one by Alice Coster who I think is mainly a social gossip, opinion, entertainment editor.
Meanwhile they have a serious article on Aiden O’Driscoll in the sports pages.
Such a shame, seems like a really good kid !!

That’s pretty damning and revealing, to say it publicly like that.

I already know we’re going to fold and send him to his club of choice for nothing because we won’t be prepared to have him on the list next year, even though we should be playing chicken with him about missing 24 months of footy.

some strong words by Lade

Didn’t seem like much. The lucky to get a game seemed more around how good the VFL are going (tongue in cheek).

Agree with the bit about the vfl side going well, but the other bit where he throws in ‘yeah he’s set himself back a couple more weeks’ when there’s potentially only a couple more weeks of the season…

I don’t think you go public with that as an assistant unless everyone’s had a gut-full. Seemed unnecessary otherwise given the whole media circus we’ve had around this previously.

I’m not taking much from that. Put on the spot. Mentioned he’d been having a positive go at training, some family issues have caused absence and that’s put him back. I think it was slightly clumsy language used. The ‘wouldn’t get a game’ sounded very tongue in cheek to me. All just my interpretation of it all. Still think it looks a long shot he stays though with each passing day. If the club dealt him to Geelong while under contract I’d likely be sending the club my first strongly written email.

Lade's comments were just a statement of fact.

The two weeks that Jamarra had away from the club for bereavement and illness has set back any likelihood of his return to football by at least that duration. With the final round this week the chances of him being parachuted into the VFL side for the finals campaign is somewhere around zero.

From there. Who knows?

realisticlly if Richmond asked about taking him - what would you guys want / think he is worth?

I really haven't been keeping tabs on his off--field situation, but they haven;t looked great from what i have seen. Is he contracted - or about to fall out of contract?

TBH I think he might need to do a Tom Boyd and give the football away if his hearts not in it and if it's causing him some issues. Perhaps it's just better for him to walk away from the game and concentrate on his wellbeing first.

I think we'd just be happy to get his contract off the books.

I think if you listen to the comments in context, I took from it that Lade was praising the current VFL form, rather than being overly critical of Jamarra. Perhaps I'm looking at things half full though and not seeing it for what it is, but the VFL has won like 10 in a row now haven't they?

That’s how I took the VFL comment too. It started off quite positive in his comments around the training that he’d been able to bank before needing to miss some, which it seems is unfortunately due to family passing away. Sadly it seems like time will run out for 2025.

Yep the important quote was

Jamarra was at every session and really putting his name up to play in the VFL and hopefully get back to some good footy before the years end

But of course they take the joke about how well the team is playing out of context to generate more clicks

I have sympathy for the guy losing family members but find it hard to reconcile that he can't come to training while grieving but he has time to make boxing montages for Instagram.
Exactly. I don't buy the grieving excuse full stop. He was a turd from the start. I remember him chucking a hissy fit when Bevo didn't play him in the AFL early on, before his first senior game.
