-Zoedee - Wow, where has this kid been. Sensational prospect. Is already playing Bassett (at his peak) like football in only his 5th game. Composed in traffic, courageous, skilful and great reader of the play. Could be a AA smokey in his first year.

-Gallucci - Have watched the replay a few times and this kid had some really important touches in the last quarter when the pressure would have been enormous. Kicked our last goal of the game in traffic.

-Poholke - Didn't see much of the ball but it was his manic attack at the contest that started our second to last goal of the night. Not sure he has the game to be a long term player but he is as hard as nails. Love him.

-Greenwood - 26 but young in experience. Has taken his game to another level. The perfect example of how stats can sometimes be misleading. His tackling and work in the stoppages on Friday night played a big part in us winning the game.

-Fogarty - Has the skill and aggression that this club has lacked in 20 years. Can't remember ever seeing a 1st year player being as aggressive as this kid. Has no fear and a ton of skill. Would love to see him come in this week as Hartigan most likely will not play. Would send McGovern to the back line.

-Milera - Looks really comfortable and composed at half back. Has built himself up and now appears to be more confident in packs with his bigger body. As someone else said, wait until Smith is back and we have this kid, Smith and the much improved Seedsman running of half back and the wings.

-McPherson - This kid really interests me. People who I have spoken to reckon we got extremely lucky getting this guy. They reckon he will be a 200 game quality player.

We have the foundation of a quality team (obviously) so now is the time to keep blooding the kids at the expense of 3rd tier seasoned veterans. The enthusiasm, aggression and lack of fear they have brought to the team has been amazing.

Poholke has a very bright future in particular - Aggressive, strong inside game, solid disposal, very good overhead. All he needs to learn is how to accumulate (and even then it's really just a learn to get the easy ball type of deal/more midfield minutes) and he's going to gun it up for a very long time for us. Not too dissimilar to a certain Rory Sloane tools wise.

But there is a lot to like about our next generation so far, especially seeing Milera is finally looking like he'll be able to live up to that high draft pick at half back.

Pretty confident that we got a good bargain (the best we ever had) with some of our young blokes. When it comes to trading and drafting, we won't get fooled again. Despite the form of the SANFL side, I don't think we are a teenage wasteland either. I can see for Myles Poholke being a long term prospect despite being a slip of a kid. You better you bet

Yeah ain't no SUBSTITUTE for youth in MY GENERATION, makes me a HAPPY JACK from BEHIND BLUE EYES.

I CAN'T EXPLAIN but it makes me want to play SUMMERTIME BLUES on my SQUEEZE BOX...ANYWAY, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE.

Nice to see I'm not THE WHO's only fan on here.

No love for Lachie Murphy?

Nobody wants to muscle in on your bromance

Room for me to join the bromance? Big fan, he doesn't have the tools of some of the other olayers (lightening speed, long leg) but he gives 100% every time and looks like a footballer. Reminds me of someone like Luke Brown or Tom Papley. Just gives his all and attacks every contest. There are worse attributes to have.

You obviously haven't watched a lot of Lachie Murphy, he's actually a very good and penetrating kick, way better than Gallucci in that facet of the game, and whilst he may not be as quick or athletic as Gallucci he has above average pace and a superior footy I.Q.

Edit : Don't take my word for it...

Lachlan Murphy
Midfielder
04/12/1998, 173cm, 74kg

Lachlan Murphy is one of those players who is constantly doubted due to his height, but there comes a time when form and AFL attributes become too difficult to ignore. The 173cm midfielder is one of the most efficient and smartest players in the TAC Cup competition. He averages 27.2 disposals per game and operates at a ridiculous 83.5% efficiency. He is evasive, explosive off the mark and has a knack of finding space in congestion. He is just as effective on the inside as the outside and possesses a booming left foot that is a brilliant offensive weapon. If 10cm taller, we’d probably be discussing him as a first round prospect.

Just the 3 games - apologies I got it wrong again and expressed an opinion, but I appreciate your input.

I also have my eye on Murphy. He is now listed at 176cm (on the AFC website). He does have an explosive burst of speed, attacks the ball hard, applies good pressure and can consistently kick goals. I am waiting for him to take a set shot from about 50 meters out on a calm day. I think he might struggle to make the distance (as would Eddie) but would be happy to be proven wrong.

And I'm telling you he won't, I've seen his exceptional foot skills up close multiple times in the TAC Comp, the only area he struggles in is lack of height.

Bullish about the youth coming through, our program is strong as evidenced through Doedee, Murphy, Fog, Gooch & Poholke in their debuts. More than happy to continue to keep backing Hagis in what he thinks is the best talent to get into our club.

In the absence of Smith, Murphy's the guy Eddie should be dishing off to when taking a set shot from the 50. The opposition won't be expecting it but will soon learn. Booming left foot as you say

Are you sure they are not Rankines highlights. Exciting

I'll say again, keep this in mind guys when we pick some Victorian kid in next years draft with one of the SA boys still on the table.

Trust in our recruiters.

He does have good foot-skills and a reasonable length kick but I think the shots at goal at the 1:30 and 2:00 mark of the footage you provided reveal booming might be a bit of hyperbole. Both shots are on the run at around 50m and don't make the goal lime on the full which reinforces the observation of him struggling to make the distance from a set shot 50m out on a calm day. I made that comment from observation of his kicking after viewing a number of his games. Again, a good kick and good skills; a longer kick than Eddie; a player with great potential who has taken his opportunity with both hands before being injured, but lets wait on the jury and see in good time what happens when he gets a set shot from 50m in neutral weather conditions.

Murphy reminds me a lot of Porplyzia, regarding his efficiency when having the ball, and ability to get goals almost in every game.

Gooch looks good with that extra bit of zip. Can see him play in a regular spot with his speed being a weapon, and tackling ferocity.

Polhoke is quite a good mark for his size. Seems to have the right amount of grit and talent for a midfielder. Looking forward to see him play more games.

Fogsy is the attacking bull that we need. Great value for goals with good mark/kick, but just as valuable is his ability to hurt opposition players and putting them off their usual game.

Dodee has played one of the best 5 starting games you can hope for. Already a star!

Milera is playing a more aggressive style of footy which was actually how I saw it in his first couple of games a couple years ago. Good user of the ball and has decent pace. Will become a regular for us.
