Anyone think Koby's tackle is a week? I actually think it's one motion and should be looked at but dismissed - thoughts?

I thought it was a fantastic tackle, but I wouldn't be too unhappy if he got a week, the guy hit the ground pretty hard with no way to protect himself.

How much of a beast is this guy? He has seriously been JPK-like ever since getting a chance and responsibility in a first team's midfield. His first game was against pretty timid opposition but him backing it up against such a quality midfield, often outmustcling them in the contest, was really impressive I thought.

I was at the match and didnt see it - will he get rubbed out?

On the radio they thought he didnt have a case to answer. The good thing is that Zac Williams came back and played out the game so that should count for something I hope???

Williams could have braced for impact if he weren't so focused on keeping possession through the tackle.

Nothing in it.

I think strictly according to the rules that will be a week or 2. According to my natural football sensibilities that is a ripping tackle which deserved the free kick. Sure protect the head, but you have to a) be able to bring a man to ground and b) be able to be aggressive.

Whatever happens, Kobys bring plenty ro the side and happy to see him in the 22.

Looked to me ( on Telly) like a V strong tackle but not malicious- looked like one movement - it actually looked to be slinging across, not into ground with the head - I would be suprissed if he got suspended - but must admit I watch wearing red, black and white tinted glasses

Didn't pin both arms and the head didn't take the brunt of the force.

He and Steele really bring in a hard edge that our midfield needed badly. I think much like Webster and (my man) Roberton have improved with Carlisle and Brown beside them, Stevens (with an s!) and Steele have helped lift Ross, Steven, Acres and co. It may not be as flashy, pretty or elite as some but it's actually a pretty scary midfield when it's Longer, Steele, Stevens and Gilbert ready to pounce on any poor bastard who picks up the ball.

If the umpiring from tonight carries onto the MRP, Kobes will walk away with a reward for the tackle. What a brute.

Hopefully it's just a fine, don't think there was any malicious intent nor did there seem to be an obvious double action like ones we've seen this season, and the player came back on.

Was it much different to Mummy's on Libba last week?

(Genuine question)

Yep. Mummy picked up libba and fell on top of him. Kobes swung Wilson with the tackle to the ground.

Reckon he is a danger of missing one only bc they want it out of the game. Hopefully he is saved by Wilson being able to return to the field
