Didn't see the game so I can't comment on the umpiring, but just thought I would say that Steven Baker has been suspended for 'attempting to strike', so there must be a rule against it somewhere.

Yeah it's called the Steven Baker rule, ie. where a player can be given ridiculous suspensions without any evidence to back it up.

2 tackles, 3 disposals. Not quite the same level as 25 tackles, 18 more disposals, 15 more marks and at one point Jude Bolton had more contested possessions than the midfield Essendon started with.
