how the hell did it cost 100 million dollars to make this art house movie? >,>

totally fooled by the trailer...... went in expecting "Zodiac" ..... ended up getting "What Dreams May Come"

I thought it was brilliant.

So many intense and uncomfortable moments/scenes but really captivating. Everyone in the cinema was dead quiet throughout the whole movie.

It had a really great plot and the picture was fantastic.

Worth seeing it at the movies rather then dvd.

I thought it was okay (not everyone in my cinema was dead quiet tho )... obviously got a bit weird in the middle, but picked up towards the end. And a few plot holes too, but eh I enjoyed it. Some nailbiting scenes towards the end too.

I thought it was a pretty good film, stuck fairly closely to the book's plot sans the side story. Captured the feel of the novel quite well and I would recommend it.

Left me feeling very hollow. Not a great film, not a bad film, but definitely left me with more sorrow than anything. Especially being a father myself.

Yeah, odd film. Some wonderful scenes which drew me in to the story, some poor scenes which did the opposite. And as another poster said, I left feeling unfulfilled. Not a great ending in my honest opinion.

Have to agree, it was interesting in some respects. Story was OK. But it just lacked something that I cannot put my finger on. The young girl has the most amazing blue eyes though.

It was OK. Very odd in the middle with some scenes that could have been left on the chopping block. About a 6/10

Took the advice of OP and got it on weekly.

Thought it was great...what a sad sad sad movie.

Felt the same way after watching 'Pans Labyrinth' earlier this year.

Something about kids dying so young; breaks your heart, especially watching the Cop on the news tonight choking up talking about the Aussie 10 yr old found today.

Just not right.

I thought it was an ok flick - was particularly hard watching as I have a young daughter myself but i think that was the essense of the film. It needed to be very uncomfortable in parts.
