I thought it was brilliant.:thumbsu:

So many intense and uncomfortable moments/scenes but really captivating. Everyone in the cinema was dead quiet throughout the whole movie.

It had a really great plot and the picture was fantastic.

Worth seeing it at the movies rather then dvd.

I thought it was a pretty good film, stuck fairly closely to the book's plot sans the side story. Captured the feel of the novel quite well and I would recommend it.
 
Yeah, odd film. Some wonderful scenes which drew me in to the story, some poor scenes which did the opposite. And as another poster said, I left feeling unfulfilled. Not a great ending in my honest opinion.
 
Took the advice of OP and got it on weekly.

Thought it was great...what a sad sad sad movie.

Felt the same way after watching 'Pans Labyrinth' earlier this year.

Something about kids dying so young; breaks your heart, especially watching the Cop on the news tonight choking up talking about the Aussie 10 yr old found today.

Just not right. :(
