Should have been where he was looking as soon as he lost the Tottenham job. Mid table PL was always going to be a bad choice especially Forest following their season last year
EPL, other than Liverpool, City and Arsenal, just don’t allow him to play the way he wants. It’s all about survival, scrapping for wins. It’s a cutthroat league.
Serie A and Bundesliga is more his style

Anges style is A league or Asian football, the level he played at himself .

Taking the Spurs job ruined him. He should’ve waited for an opportunity at a club like Aston Villa or one of a similar level.
He was a bit unlucky levy wasn't chucked out earlier, but it was Levys lack of spending on wages that created the opportunity for Ange in the first place. Pocchettino, Conte, Mourinho are all far bigger names with European success.

Yeah and they did spectacularly well.

Lewis' children now effectively in control and believe we've been underperforming as a club with lots of room to improve. I don't think given they appear to be striving rectify these shortfalls that a coach with 22 defeats in a league season would have necessarily survived had Levy gone sooner.

Secondly, the spending accusation is patently false. Not only was the most backed manager in our history €457m spent in two seasons in charge. Which is also €1.2bn since opening the stadium in March 2019.

I for one am happy we won something, but also pleased we moved on from his unsustainable football.

You think Frank Thomas’ football is going to be sustainable. Oh buddy

Already tried once, but we're not allowed to say bad words...

Not sure why this is about me or about Thomas Frank. Quite bizarre

And I am completely baffled still that this board seems to be the last bastion of pro-ange sentiment with respects to my club. He ended up in an untenable situation which was largely his own doing and paid for it.

No manager is surviving 22 league defeats in a season, nor are they surviving 1.19ppg after his 10 game unbeaten start (78pts from 66 games). ETH with two trophies was sacked from United with a better return 1.72ppg. which is still higher even including Ange's unbeaten start (104/76; 1.37ppg)

Most impartial non-aussie fans thank him for the trophy but hated the football and knew we had to move on. And I'm not different, needing 2-3 goals just to get a draw is too taxing as a game plan. Not coaching set pieces is suicide.

Pretty much agree. Also a Spurs fan and I love Ange for the trophy but you can’t finish 17th in the league and keep your job. He had to go.

I’m not sure exactly if Thomas Frank is the guy, he’s definitely more solid than Ange, but our football is pretty boring at the moment. Parking the bus against Monaco for a 0-0 isn’t exactly inspiring.

Be that as it may, I think we saw with Ange’a very cursed short stint at Forest that he simply isn’t up to Premier League standards unless he changes his ways.

I was very impressed with Pocognoli in that game tactics wise, I could see him at a very big club in the next couple of years.

Done in England, not necessarily in Europe. He is the reigning Europa League winner. I'm sure he gets offered another half decent job at some point.
Definitely not done in Europe. Needs to firstly take a break and take a side that gives him a full preseason. He'd need to go to a lower league in Europe. The prem is too competive to be as stubborn as he is, fancy not training set pieces.
Could even see an MLS team come knocking.
I did feel sorry for him after he was sacked and then saw a photo of him driving out of the car park in his Bentley. Sure he'll be fine.

I don't think he's necessarily done in England either, I can see him landing a Championship job. It's working well for Lampard after a couple of disastrous PL stints.

His PL days are numbered though.
He's too proud to take a championship position. Very competitive league as well, wouldn't be easy. I think he goes to Europe or the States.

Brendan Rodgers gone at Celtic.

Martin O'Neill temp manager.

Ange back to Celtic?
Wouldn’t be a bad move for Ange considering where’s he’s now at. Just stay at Celtic, play CL every season and then ride off into the sunset in a few years

Still a long way to go but Celtic are currently 8 points behind Hearts with a poor GD.

I might be wrong but I think Scotland might be going back to only having one team in the CL - because they have dropped out of the top 16 in the coefficients.

Its a backwards move, almost admitting he's not good enough for a better league. No chance he goes back to Celtic.

Rodgers did it too to be fair.

How'd that end up? Ange is way too proud to do it.

He won the league with them last season and got through to the knock out phase of the CL?

Wouldn't be surprised, but I think no. Lot of fans would like to see him back, but imagine his thinking would be he's done everything he could do there.

Our board are rank rotten and shown they have no ambition. One of the key reasons they got Rodgers back was the caveat that the club would try to be competitive in Europe, but high emphasis on 'try' as it's very hard to get players to come to Scotland.
