I dont think they care too much about experience(we are still the youngest squad in the league), its more about what style of football they coach to fit the models at both clubs. We arent run like a regular club.

More important is being a yes man who'll be happy just to coach the group of players given to him
, something that Maresca was for a season and a bit until something turned his head.

Is that how the club is currently run? Genuinely asking. I know there were issues with Maresca v the medical team but didn't know there was pressure from other areas re team selection.

There's a huge amount of talent in that squad, it's shocking that they would invest so heavily but then sabotage the success.

Fair play to Amorim for speaking out, even though he'll get his P45 soon enough, you'd think. No such thing as managers or coaches in England any more, more like puppets.

Amorim out.
Gareth Southgate in.

Theres no pressure on team selection, they can pick and play whoever they want. On the medical stuff, the manager/coach should rightly have no decision on players fitness and clubs employs professionals in this area to make the right decisions(what they have done with James has saved his career).

Its just that they are the coach, not a manager. They dont pick which players they want to buy or which positions need filling. They can have input but i dont think it holds much weight.

Not sure they want to sabotage success, they were happy with the way Maresca was travelling. But once he changed management a few weeks back to Mendes everything changed. Will be interesting to see which club he ends up at.

Are Chelsea giving him a four month contract?
Maybe
Worth noting as well that Maresca definitely wanted another CB to be signed after Colwill's injury but was told the current stocks were good enough.
Yeah, probably would have seen Acheampong leave so im cool with it. Now playing Tosin over him, that gave me the shits

Surprised it took that long.

Because it took Amorim this long to realise that losing 18 PL games in one season, finishing 15th and losing to ****ing Grimsby Town won’t get him sacked, but hurting the boards precious egos in a press conference will.

Had Amorim gone with this new tactic 10 months ago, our supporters wouldn’t have suffered his bad results for as long as we did.

Maybe, he's shown to be inflexible in a league you need to be flexible in. As well as a style that is high volume of shots from distance and having a say in buying players who had a good penalty inflated season only to be back to bang average this season.
