If a Wilson-less Bournemouth keep going the way they're going, is Howe in danger? Would be harsh, but at the moment they look like they should reside in the North East.
Howe brought Bournemouth through the divisions against all odds. His team has been decimated by injuries to there best players. At the very least, he deserves the chance to get them promoted again next season in the championship

The stats for promoted managers who get relegated the next year would be pretty damning I would think.

If they survive the full year in the prem, very few last another 12 months.

I would think Howe would be a good chance though.
Bruce managed it.

Howe is in no danger.

Howe is definitely safe. That XI on the pitch against us was one of the worst I've seen on paper in a long time. It then managed to replicate it's paper form in real life (Ritchie aside). Gosling and the other CM were absolute non-factors, the whole back 4 looked a mistake away from giving us a goal, Boruc lol, that King bloke was ordinary & Murray wasn't given much hope with all that going on behind him

With who?

The side he was managing last year in the PL and is currently managing in the C'Ship.

Also with Birmingham a while back.

Was talking more of those that get a team promoted but they don't stay up in their first year.

It's like all the good they've done by getting a team promoted is forgotten about the next yearm

Theres heaps like it.

Managers that do get a team promoted and keep them up seem to be on safer ground if/when they do get relegated.

Although Bruce may not survive the year yet anyway.

Ahhh right. Dyche would qualify right?

Pound Notes. Market Leader. Shoestring Budget.

Yep. So far. Not sure how Burnley is going but if it starts to look like they won't go straight back up will he be the one that cops it.

Poor bastards raise expectations at a club, often to unrealistic levels. Then bear the brunt if they can't hit those heights.

Bournemouth do seem a pretty grounded/sensible club. Abd Howe is more than just a manager there.

So hang on, you criticise teams because clubs that get relegated sack their managers, we give you two (three if you include Ramsey for being there a significant part of the season) then you refuse to accept it because they might get sacked this season?

Dyche is unlikely to be sacked, given the nature of the way Burnley operates. They're also currently in 3rd.

We're in 2nd and finally looking good, which if we can maintain in any shape or form for the next two-three months then Bruce will also be fine.

Not really sure what your problem is here, or are you just desperate for another argument?

I'm just pointing out that managers that get teams promoted often don't stay around long to see the spoils of their hard work.

It's as if all the good they do is forgotten the minute they don't have instant success in the league they got their club into.

Thats all. Not a hard and fast rule or anything. I expect Howe will stick around fwiw.

No I was actually discussing the topic because it's an interesting topic.

I think some clubs that are realistic about their chances of staying up keep their managers around. Can't remember, but did Blackpool sack Holloway when they were up? And Burnley the first time up might have kept their manager if I'm not mistaken.

I think it was Coyle that got them up wasnt it? From memory he left for Bolton not long after that.

I'll look at stats later but seems to me there are a lot of cases of managers overachieving to get a side up, and unless the star in the first year up, or look like they're going straight back up after relegation a lot of them don't survive.

That's right, forgot Coyle was at Burnley. In fairness I don't think they would have sacked him.

Give me hope we can actually get a win midweek.

Also, I thought Howe signed a new deal a few weeks back? Surely wouldn't be axed even if they do go down. Would imagine he'd be revered by their fans for what he has achieved.

Yep, new deal in the last week or so I think.

Jose Mourinho’s representatives have been in contact with Inter Milan and PSG [ESPN]

How to CFC fans feel bout him pimping himself around?
We will always love Mou, no matter what happens.
