Going the Milo route, solid stuff :tearsofjoy:

The irony of the Catholic church sponsoring a bloke accused of interfering with the underage is not lost on me.
Wow, going the whole hog now :tearsofjoy:

heck yeah Rusty! It's the way to do it I reckon, get on the persian rugs and root your arse off for years, then go right wing, convert (repent sins etc) and profit!

It's easy for certain sections of the media, education sector and politics to point the finger at Tate than admit that they're a massive part of the problem.
A formal curriculum created in UK schools specific to combating Tate did have me chuckling.

From what I've read that's a good thing and probably much needed. People are forgetting that if he gets off in Romania it's straight back to Blighty and a cell at Bellmarsh next to Assange which is quite the best place for him.

Did Andrew Tate invent violence and misogyny?

Sure is credited for it alot in the media.

it's not that he made or "invented" it, but it's resurgence correlates strongly with him and his "alpha male" s**t.

it's intended for young men (15-23) who think that the world does them hard because not everything in their life is provided to them on a silver platter, as well as being tied heavily to scams and "freeing yourself from the matrix" (i doubt that mr tate has read any of the neuromancer books, and the allegory for being transgender from the movies fell flat on him.) by way of making "easy money".

it's cyclical. he's fallen out of favor with the youth (from my perspective) because he's actually been arrested this time, as well as just being uninteresting.

a lot of young men think that their material possessions are what makes people like them, when in reality, it couldn't be further from the truth.

i can understand teenagers believing in that s**t because their naive and angsty, but not young adults, that's just pathetic

Did you even read the article?

As this country anguishes about what needs to change to arrest the horrifying level of targeted male violence against women, I stand with writers and advocates like Jess Hill who focus on the need for a single-parent payment, the lack of affordable housing, and the consequences of heavy drinking, gambling and pornography among other issues as key to the solution.

We both are! I'd love to hear his thoughts on my mate who is currently on 5 months paternity leave, said mate is loving it to be honest.
Partner did the first 6 months, I did the next 6 months, best 6 months of my 55 year existence.
You ain’t getting that time back, ever, greatest regret of my 85 year dad’s existence that he didn’t do it, he encouraged me to do it for me and him.
He came down 2/3 times a week to partake, feed, hold, nurse, coo etc., nappy changing, not so much!🤣👍

Just out last week:

I'll post this in a few relevant threads.

  • Australian teachers surveyed about misogyny in their schools.
  • A flood of responses, from which they picked thirty to get more details.
  • A consistent and disturbing picture of acts across states, across schools.
  • Female teachers and students feeling less safe at school as this gendered violence has crept in over the last few years.
  • Classrooms "from small coastal towns to big city private schools" noticing a strong uptick in the occurrence of gendered violence, misogyny, Andrew Tate quotes and defences of their behaviour.
  • "What do you think of Andrew Tate, miss?" as a provocation to argue and Gish-gallop with Tate quotes and ideals.
  • Major social platforms allowing it to manipulate for more page views and active accounts. Even supporting it at times in the case of Elon Musk.
  • Some schools have resources and are trying to counter the problem, but it is piecemeal.

If you want to know the sort of gendered violence crisis that is happening, it's in our schools ready to emerge into adulthood.

These researchers suggest that a federal government response is needed.

(* NO THIS IS NOT ALL BOYS, but all boys should be aware of it and speak out if they can. All parents should be aware of it and talk to their kids, be aware of what online content they are consuming. *)

It's needed here, if you look at the research.

The authors say is a quicker study to get findings in public and needs more research which is what a federal response would help schools and parents with.

It's not that the schools are bystanders poking their noses in. They are affected directly. Too many teachers - mainly female - are having to deal with this awful behaviour without adequate support. Too many female students (and likely other minorities and LGBT kids) don't feel safe at school as a direct result of Tate and other grifters warping kids worldview.

If you're annoyed about resources spent on this, go for the source. Join the voices asking that this content be blocked on social media. Demand that these people have their accounts revoked under the platform's existing terms of use.

I'm genuinely intrigued by what draws young men to Tate.

Someone will say 'misogyny' as a catch-all I'm sure.

But what is it that's making young men find what he says appealing? Tate is a POS, and most people can see him for what he is, but some can't, or find his views appealing even if they can.

Getting Tate off social media - and locking him up for all the crimes he appears to have actually committed - is a good thing, but it doesn't address the underlying cause of why some people are gravitating towards his views.

Without finding and addressing the root cause, I don't see it going a whole lot of anywhere.

I think (and this is from discussion with an almost incel) its this idea of loss of privilege and rights. Tate spouts off about "traditional" values and men getting what they used to have (at the expense of equality). Its very similar to Jordy Peterson and many others, Tates just made it "edgy" and "cool".

The idea that you can bang bad bitches, get money and be a "badass" is appealing to a formative brain.
