Dunno about that. My mate who is WA born and bred reckons dennis used to host some eagles shows pre-freo. The very fact his support is debatable is a good sign he has hidden bias well. Unlike some of these modern day ****wits.

This may belong in the unpopular opinions thread but if Shaun wanted back in for one or two years, and he was still capable of playing at his current level, I'd have him back in a heartbeat.

Isn't Barrett a Richmond fan? If so, I can understand why he hates Port after last year's final.

Yeah he's a Roos supporter but either why it explains why the likes of him & Jon Ralph tend to be overly negative about our club at every opportunity more than any other they report on.

Here's a suburban club with a rich proud history entering the big league & winning a flag without half the concessions the Lions had, they go through a few years of uncertainty involving financial issues & somehow manage to turn it around with a few quality appointments to the board & footy/coaching department.

They've now strengthened a club culture that not only attracts star quality recruits that weren't even born in the state but managing to keep hold of almost every A grade player that is getting pursued from rival clubs offering almost 1/4 more money on longer term lucrative deals.

I can see why our club rustles the Jimmies of a few rivals none more so than our big/little brother the AFC who try their hardest to emulate us whether it be poaching IP, marketing ideas, catch phrases etc. They hate us because they ain't us.
