The thing I dont get about Barrett is, he used to be very pro-Ross. Why has he picked this year of all years to jump off?

I think he jumped off last year after backing Ross in for a quick turnaround of the team. He's looking like a knob though, over both the Hogan trade and the gamestyle.

Yeah I thought Hurn was ok, was still probably their best ,definitely no better than Mundy that’s for sure tho.
As others have alluded I also was still quite surprised he had that many disposals. Now we know and totally agree thinknit needs some adjustments for the stats recording
In the end Guess I was just relieved that soft **** gaff didn’t win it

Simpson say they have a lot of foot/lower leg injuries. Other than Cox who did his in Canberra and might not even miss a game we don’t have any.

Maybe the eagles can play at a half demolished Subiaco Oval for the rest of the season if it’s so bad.

Aren’t Bennel and Sandilands both calf injuries? Ie lower leg

I took Simpson’s comments to mean non-soft issue injuries tbh. Should’ve clarified that.

Eagles seem to have mainly foot/ankle injuries and tbh that’s what I thought Simpson was complaining about.

I probably should’ve clarified that but other posters have managed to point out that Bennell and Sandilands were no where near Optus Stadium when they did their calf injuries.

Only one I remember is Tabs.. As an acute lower leg injury. Brad Hills knee wasn’t really due to the surface.
It’s a pretty silly cop out. Lower leg injuries could be also due to their boots, strapping, loading during the week at training etc. Simpson’s really pushing for Optus stadium to look crap. When really there’s numerous professional stadiums just as worst

Exactly. As I said before they can play on a half demolished Subiaco Oval if they wish... I didn’t think so.

FWIW as a fan I think Optus Stadium is an awesome venue.

Gerard his usual sanctimonious self on 360 tonight. Yes, the booing was disappointing, but FMD he’s acting like Essendon fans are desecrating the ANZAC name. He’s still pissed that Ablett was booed last week...

Why do I bother reading sliding doors. It pisses me off every week.

Not the Freo one this week the AFL comments:
If
you hadn’t noticed simply because of the low-profile carried by Taylin Duman ...
then
the Tribunal yet again reached a decision which compromised the messaging of the AFL footy ops department. Another off-ball hit downgraded. Nearly a weekly occurrence. We repeat - time to scrap the Tribunal.

Shit if they got the grading right it wouldn’t have been contested.
Should read time to replace the person making the suspension calls, one person is a joke.

Lol yeah exactly!! The guy is embarrassingly bad.

And he reckons there are no knobs on sliding doors! Oh yes there is DB!!! There is ONE knob on sliding doors. Look in the mirror!!

Jesus I can't stand that guy! Makes my skin crawl.

I need a beer!!!!!

No problem, Schofield on the radio saying booing is good, part of the game blah, blah.... he really is a campaigner!

As much as I can't stand that knob, Barrett, I seem to recall he tipped us to be the big riser this year in a pre-season poll. I only remembered it because I thought he didn't rate us at all.

Thanks. She did well naming our highest game players. Almost too well if I’m being cynical but Richo showed his complete ignorance to us as a club, which would be common amongst AFL media.
Darcy once spent a whole game getting Mayne or Mundy mixed up with Jesse Crichton.

Or who could forget Eddie the Hutt calling Crowley 'Crawley' all day.

It irritates me no end that they're talking up Neale as a brownlow chance when he is playing no differently to how he played for us. The lack of recognition to this day triggers me.

And it's no different here in the UK. BT sports shows 5 games a week. Today I'm watching the weagles for the fourth time this year. There has been one Freo game and that was the derby.

For sure. Think it would be pretty storybook. And at the same time, I'm pleased for Neale that he is finally getting noticed for how good a player he is. He'll be back one day. I have a feeling.
