Can you explain why Mitchell is not part of the aged , slow, little defensive effort side problem at Tbe Eagles midfield ? What has been the upside to his signing

Categorically disagree with that. Shows more defensively than half our side. Never seen him give up on a contest. Contests marks, spoils, chases, tackles, scrambles at the goal line. Knows what his job is but unlike others has no "oh I don't do that" side to his game.

This year I have felt both spoiled to witness and bad for him at the same time watching half of the stuff he does in a game to help us not lose while others won't or just pretend to. ******* damning it has been. IMO we have a big problem with desire.

He is while priddis is in the side. We can't afford both of them in the same side.

However Mitchell genuinely makes up for his lack of leg speed with other qualities including good evasive skills, excellent kicking and good decision making as well as leadership and toughness.

It's no surprise hawthorn are struggling without him.

He's also reasonably quick over the first few metres which is good.

I see Mitchell as faster because he actually gets to top gear. Priddis never sprints. I thought they had a run in pre-season and one of the coaches beat them?

Little stumpy legs can be deceptive . What he does have is a footy mind well faster than his legs . It does compensate to an extent

Think of where Hawthorn where , the players it allowed them to access before GWS and GC got so many concessions . One of the last bottom clubs to get real access to top talent .

Mitchells was 3.04

The fastest ever is 2.75.

Mitchell is considered to be slow and he is .19 of a second off the fastest time ever.

Priddis is .65 of a second off

People dont really get how fn slow he is - my wife is 38 - has a liz franc and can run 20m in 3.2. She hasnt played any sport in 12 years.

He is seriously the slowest player in the game.
