If I understand right a good movie/series that's using VFX beats a lot of the movies purely done by CGI. Which I will avoid the latter

Genuine question : does anybody watch a show/movie based solely on the FX? It seems an odd angle to publicise it

i'm more likely to watch a movie if i know the fx are bad, but it won't be the sole reason.

i wonder if the fx is the hook for western audiences - for those who casually scroll around in netflix it's likely the only bit we can relate to from that upcoming series. can't name an actor, director, etc. trailer and gore looks interesting to me.
