We are looking at by far the easiest stretch of the season so far.

rd 14 - Adelaide @ skilled
rd 15 - Essendon @ Etihad
rd 16 - WCE @ Patersons
rd 17 - Brisbane @ Gabba
rd 18 - Richmond @ Etihad
rd 19 - Melbourne @ Skilled
rd 20 - Gold Coast @ Skilled
rd 21 - Adelaide @ AAMI
rd 22 - BYE
rd 23 0 Sydney @ Skilled

I think that the only real danger game is Eagles over there besides that we should comfortably win the rest of them.

This is a prime opportunity to put some experience into our youinger players whilst managing the older vets.

If we play these next 10 rounds right we will be in a great position for finals. Exciting Shit

:eek::thumbsu:

Very exciting indeed.

Richmond might bring a little mojo. Cotchin and Martin are a breed of Tiger not seen for decades.

Worst case scenario for this weekend will see up to five midfielders from Saturday night joining Selwood on the sidelines: Bartel, Duncan, Kelly, Corey and Stokes. Add Milburn to that list and it could be the biggest turn over of players since after 2009 R14 Saints v Cats epic, when the Cats lost to Brisbane the next week.

Lets not get too carried away....1 week at a time and all that....

It is a great draw to be able to exercise some player management, but ideally what we want is one or two hard games thrown in there as well. The only requirement is to finish top 4, which we have more or less sewn up already. With that achieved, our only measure of success is going to be a premiership. Finishing undefeated through season has little bearing on anything.

We will get a taste of mass rotation this week i feel with all of Kelly, Bartel, Corey and Selwood being on the sidelines...geez, imagine saying that a few years ago!

I think we have a few more danger games than just the eagles one to be honest.

That does loom as the main danger one, but you cant discount melbourne or tigers because they will be hungry to win games to get in the 8 - well the tigers will be anyway, who would know what melbourne side you get on the day!!
And sydney isnt a sure bet too, especially coming off the bye(which can go either way form wise) and they may be battling to get into the top 4 so may be hungry to win!!

The collingwood one will be a non event I think, if both teams are still games clear neither are going to go out full throttle.

And the thread needs a poll.
But 10 games is way too long.

Maybe it needs to be next 6 then we could have a final 3 - well, 4 if you count the Bye against the Gold Coast :D

happy for a mod to put in a poll. i can't be arsed.

yeah i agree that there are a few more danger games than just the eagles but i'm just excited about seeing the young guys get to string a few games together over these games rather than just go in and out.

With the Swans, because it's at skilled i'm more confident than if it was anywhere else.

i don't care where we finish within the 4 and if we drop a game or two against the tiges or dees than i think we could even be the better for it.

I didn't see the other undeafeted thread. mods go and ahead and merge if required.

they're good but good players in a pretty average side that has not beaten any quality side so far this season and when they have been challenged those players tend to hide away but Duncan & Menzel are every bit as good as them. They will be good but you only need to look at this weekends match against Melbourne, and you will see the difference compared to Melbourne's midfield and the smacking they will get from the Dees to go with it

That's stretching it a bit. Martin and Cotchin are looking like Voss and Black MkII and are arguably once in a generation players. If Richmond get back to being a powerful, premiership-contending force, these two will be at the pointy end of it.

do you remember just how good Voss and Black were when they were in their 2nd and 3rd year of footy? Voss in particular was like very few and I haven't seen Cotchin produce anything similar to what he could do in his early days. Cotchin in particular is extremely talented but imo I reckon Trengove and Scully for Melbourne are probably a little better and they'll likely show why this weekend. Your opinion is fair enough though but so too is mine:thumbsu:

Vossy was a freak..arguably every bit as good as what Judd is today
