Josh wins more games for us than anyone realises.

Remember that 9 point win against Port Adelaide that he won with a stolen goal on the run?

And he was by far the best on-field across both Grand Finals, by being perhaps the only player who pretty much did all he could.

No arguments from me over him being the next captain.

Never really thought of him but yes, come to think of it, he would have to be the next skipper of collingwood, and a damn fine one he would make :)

Josh could hold the captaincy for six or seven years, so there's no point bringing up names of whom might be our captain after Josh.
For all we know the player might not have arrived at Collingwood as of yet.

I rate him highly mate, do you?

I took to him as soon as he came to the club, and is part of 4 players on my desktop, but then again, he will struggle on being a regular. Captain material is unknown. Josh Fraser certainly one, and Dale Thomas of our younger variety looks the goods aswell, even if he hasn't played an AFL Game, he does however has as much passion for the game as I have seen, and this is only from NAB experience!

I hope he gets the job as next captain for Collingwood hes all class i love watching him dominate a game of footy.

Will he be a Foward come Ruckman player this year or Ruckman come Foward

I'm hope he does big things this year hes a hugely important player for us.

He’s a ruckman, or supposed to be, and we got beaten in the ruck in both of those grand finals. Arguably the ruck cost us two flags. He was ok in both games to a point but Rocca showed him how to play as a forward in 2002 and Keating gave him the mother of all game controlling hidings in 2003. He was among our better players because he did battle it out all day and he did give it all he had. The fact is, though, what he had was boy v man and he ahs not stepped up since. He can’t impose himself on a contest let alone a game. He's probably beaten his opponent in the ruck 4 or times in 6 years. He hasn't rucked all of those 6 years it is a telling stat. (ok it's a stat I'm guessing at but if anyone can give me more than half a dozen games I'll be stunned).

I actually agree he should have a good 2006 but until he does and proves otherwise he is far to limp to be a captain of Collingwood. If it was in the near future clement would have a mortgage on it. 2 – 3 years off and it would be Licuria at this stage. At this point there is no long term contender although I tend to agree Josh will get the gig.

One of the reasons we haven’t been able to cope with our in juries is a lack of on field leadership outside of Buckley, Burns, Rocca and probably Licuria. The fact guys like O’Bree and Lockyer are included in leadership groups is as much as admitting that but it is painfully obvious watching games anyway. Perhaps this is a hidden cost of the good guys policy.
