Because our gun laws are not as strict as people make them out to be. You just need to be of good character, no violent history. Have a reason for a license, shooters club, Farming, Professional hunter/shooter etc, and license is given. I was surprised to know you dont need to be an Australian Citizen though..

They are easily lost as they are obtained. I was convicted and lost my gun license, Coppers turned up and seized all my guns the next day. Didn’t get one dollar for em either, thousands of dollars worth.

You’re welcome to think that, but I also think it’s a stupid thing to get angry about. People are being murdered but **** my footy club for making a post condemning it and sending condolences to the victims/communities.

Police are currently on scene at the location of a fatal crash in Muckatah that has claimed the lives of four people this afternoon.
It is believed a minivan with nine occupants was travelling along Chapel Road when the driver lost control and crashed into a tree about 5pm.
Four passengers, who are yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
Three passengers, all children, were airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver and a passenger were taken to hospital by road with serious injuries.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are currently enroute to the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined.

Innocent people were killed by a couple of lunatics. If you’ve got a problem with the club, and other organisations condemning that and stating that they stand with the community affected by it, then you should reassess your views.

I dont think the difference should be where the candidate resides rather than if they are suitable to possess firearms.

The context of the club not having to do so is pretty weak by any metric, few people or collectives have to submit death notices either, but plenty choose to. Simply a mark of respect to the greaving.

The workplace i work for released a statement as well. Far from unusual.
