Just binged watched seasin three if house of cards, this show is superior to most shows, better than true detective and just breaking bad for character deepness.

Just started watching new series " Fortitude " , on sunday nights on channel 2 after series 2 of Broadchurch, cast includes Stanley Tucci, Richard Dormer, and one of my old faves, Michael Gambon , set in far north Antarctic, i think in Norway, scenery is sensational, and so far storyline has me hooked, off to a promising start.
You watched the last episode? ******* weird ending. Must be something in the water.

Such a good show. I like Thurston, floki and Ragnar. Brilliant end to season 2
Blood eagle was the best episode, though the Saxons actually smashing the Vikings had much satisfaction to it. Donal logue was great.

Watched the first few eps of Banshee after reading very positive reviews. Have to say, I was disappointed. Sure, the punani is great, but the writing, the acting, the production is far too 'standard American' fare for my liking.

Also watched the first two episodes of The Last Man on Earth which was pretty good. Interesting concept and pretty well done.

I don't mind the premise and the characters seem interesting enough. It's the quality of writing that irks me, the production and acting. Does all that improve? Put it this way, The Fall doesn't necessarily have the action, the pace or the punani of Banshee, but I find it much more engrossing because of the tensions between the characters, the way it is shot and the performances. If Banshee improves in those areas then I will stick with it.

The quality of acting...not so much, but the production does. It's definitely not a fargo or true detective but I think it's worth persisting with. My biggest gripe is I think the writers let it get a bit stale at times and there is one giant elephant in the room at all times.

It's worth sticking at it to see a fight scene in season 3. I've seen a lot of fight scenes being a bit of a movie buff but this one was definitely top 3 imo.

I was one of those positive reviewers for 'Banshee'. Absolutely love it. But if you're going in expecting it to be Fargo, The Fall, etc..., then you're looking at it the wrong way. It's pure pulp & far from serious. How could anything be written seriously re: a small town that has Indians, Amish, Ukrainians and a fake sheriff in it. Check your head at the door & enjoy.

As for the fight scene that Brett speaks of, I'm not even 100% certain which one he is talking about, since there have been a few great ones (not to mention one helluva shoot-em-up just passed).

Linking the above 2 paragraps together: This guy is a fairly poor actor... But he's still all kinds of awesome:

Been smashing Orphan Black this last week. Pretty interesting show and the lead does a great job playing multiple characters. Worth a watch.
