patents cost a fair bit of money if you want it to truly protect your tech. Probably cost you 10k to get someone to build you a basic app

depends how detailed you want it and the engine behind it.

If it's a pretty simple idea for an app, you can create it using a free platform like Ionic.
Or you can outsource its construction to a team in another country, if you're trying to keep within a budget.
