I’ll make an analogy for you, it’s like back at school, when a teacher would allow certain liberties, and then some kid would come along and take advantage and then the teacher would take those liberties away from everyone. That’s what’s happened - to try and stop out and out prejudice they’ve brought in draconian measures and everyone suffers as we now all live in a staid and less colourful environment. I don’t care if you don’t accept what I say, but at least be bloody able to grasp it

This thread is so ****ing toxic whenever any of these topics are being discussed and it's just so repetitive. I understand exactly what you are saying, I just completely disagree with it. Your world view is entirely entrenched in your own personal experience and you are unwilling to listen to anyone else's opinion because of it. For this reason you will continue to butt heads with others because their experience differs to yours and you can't grasp the fact that your world view isn't the only one. Anyone who disagrees with you is brainwashed somehow because they have done things you haven't (like go to university apparently).

Your viewpoint is looking to protect your view of the world with no concern for others. Political correctness may have reduced how "entertaining" you find the world but it has made life bearable for those who were the victims of this prejudice. I'll place more importance in that than you finding the world more colourful any day of the week, and if there's something I can do about it (like voting yes on gay marriage) then I will do it.
