Speaking of Gridiron, if there is one thing that I could never really get or understand, it's the whole college sports scene. I mean, yes, college sports, but over there, it's WOAH! College sports! 100k+ attendances, making all the news, even playing their games there.

I suppose I get that its trying to embody something that isn't really seen in US sports by having a 'club' feel (so the players seem like they belong to the club, and aren't going to move at the next available opportunity like in the pro leagues), but the fact that we're dealing with what is essentially U21s and that the Unis aren't really representative of local boundaries (basically, it's like tradition to move interstate at least once over there. All the Yanks I know have done that), and well... I'm not really getting the reason for 100k turn up for it, especially with the University of Michigan.

Does any one here follow College Sports?
I watch it when there is no cricket on and i am bored on a saturday and cbf putting on a movie.

My parents are paying for a majority of my sister's wedding, so the only headache she has is whether to hold the ceremony in a historical church or a somewhere nearby the reception (where there's not a church within a 50km radius). Getting married sounds like such an effort, from the date of engagement to the wedding day, then for a lifetime after that. Though, I do suppose if you love the person unconditionally, going through all that would be a no-brainer.

I barely passed methods. Ruined my ATAR. Was top band in everything else ffs.

5 years on from school, I'd probably struggle to do basic algebra. **** maths.

Is methods the really difficult math or the really easy one?

You southerners really should just use letters. It makes more sense.

I was born/raised a Vic, but am a true Queenslander m8ey. Methods is like Maths B/C up here.

Ah fab.

I reckon purely conceptually Maths C is just as taxing as anything you do in a health course. Bloody challenging subject.

Loonerty can teach us both.

My planned career path doesn't require mathematical prowess, and thank gosh for that. I'm useless.

The level of school subject difficulty is different for everyone. Some people just really like maths - there's always immediately-found logic in 99% of answers. Whereas others, thrive in writing/linguistic-based learning.

If it's anything like it is over here, methods is closer to specialist (top) then it is to the lower maths

After doing specialist (only year 11) and methods and bottom maths I agree with you

I've actually never seen Arrested Development, haha. Recommend?
Definitely. Only watched it recently actually, great show.

I'm literally watching it right now.

It's such an amazing show.

I'll find some time for it.

How have you been finding The Wire?
Only had the chance to watch the first Ep, but I'll keep going.

Unfortunately neither of our parents are in the position to contribute a significant amount.

We're not sure we'll have an engagement given we're going to NYC over Xmas/NY.

Wedding is prob gonna be late 2019 for us.

Okay, I'm convinced!

Thing is, I'm not a big TV/Movie viewer. I always consider my opportunity cost and sitting in front of television screen often falls second best.

In saying that, I do thoroughly enjoy UK comedies such as the Office/Peep Show. Sadly there are only a handful of other shows which I've taken a serious interest in/
