Of course everything would be different in the history of the world if Britain was attached to Europe via actual land. But it isnt, so im just stating the truth.

Because the fundamental thing is that we are not attached to mainland Europe - it changes everything in every conceivable way so to say the English Channel saved us is just massively irrelevant. If we were attached to the mainland then think how that changes literally everything that is in history books.

One of our players headed a corner in which crossed the line by about a foot and was punched out by a defender on the weekend. The end result? A thrown in to us after they cleared it!

Not necessarily. The Poms struggled early because they couldn't get enough troops across the channel to save the frogs. Take away the channel and the resistance would have been significant.

yeah but you can't definitively say that the channel did save them. It was both a strength and weakness
