By solving it backwards. Now we have less information.

Yeah although that's only for today. As of tomorrow we'll be getting 24 hour numbers going forward which makes more sense.

Which is what they were already giving but they were also giving positives after 8pm but before midnight the previous night.

Now the numbers are going to always be 15 hours behind.

Sure but it gives a consistent figure rather than the issue before of a number of different figures obfuscating things. As I said before I think 6am is a better cut off but there must be a reason 8pm is used.

But if they know the numbers to midnight...

The skeptical part of me thinks there may be a ton of cases discovered after 8pm last night which is why they have opted not to reveal any of them so far.

We'll see what happens tomorrow I guess.

They've said it's in line with expectations but I guess we'll see tomorrow.

I can't imagine if the numbers had any implications for further restrictions they'd hide them. I think it's purely from all the backlash to the confusing numbers. Guess we'll see.

I don't really care who politicians are shagging, but its right that he resign. You can't tell people as Health Minister in a pandemic to follow rules you weren't prepared to follow yourself.

I think the point was more that he should have resigned earlier and it's incredible this is what breaks him not his incompetence at actually doing his job.
