My mrs collapsed on Friday night at home, had to call an ambulance. She completely slouched over to one side and I thought she was having a seizure at one point. This was only the case for about 10 or so seconds.

But my goodness, the paramedics, nurses and doctors were all brilliant. Absolute godsends people who do any of these as a profession. They were absolutely fantastic.

What a shitshow of a countdown.

Just finished it then.

Even with all the horrible things he did, the scenes outside the prison on execution day were disgusting. The whole thing really did bring out the worst in humanity.

It’s interesting to think of how much good he could have done in the world - there’s no doubting the guy was very intelligent.
And what a circus he turned his trial into. Such a weird and tragic event all round.

Yeah, i dunno. I didnt think the count was too bad. I dont get the love of hip-hop(but really it sounds more like R & B these days), Sicko Mode and This Is America are terrible songs imo but finished top 5:think:

Apart from that i think Triple J do a wonderful job of promoting Aussie music and through their unearthed wing finding artists too.

What’s everyone’s thoughts and opinions on what really happened in 9/11? The missus the other day brought it up and we started discussing it, then went onto watch many YouTube videos and various videos from when the towers were about to fall, and of the survivors and what they remember of it. Saw some absolutely chilling videos, from people waving their jackets in the windows to the ones who jumped.
Then there’s the whole bomb conspiracy, people claiming there were explosions going off before the plane hit.

IMO the planes definitely hit, but I do believe bombs were involved, really is quite sickening stuff. I vaguely remember the day it happened, was 7 or 8, and never really looked into that greatly until the last couple of days. I also kinda regret listening to a phone call from within the building as it was minutes from collapsing.

My theory is that if it was an inside job, surely there would be far more whistleblowers unable to handle the guilt from allowing it to happen. There would be far too many people involved in trying to cover something like this up surely.

I know Triple J is an Australian station but the Aussie bands get so much airplay constantly that they are always bound to get a few songs each in the countdown. There was far better music out there last year but if they don’t get the airplay then they won’t remain in people’s heads.

Sorry to hear that, hope everything is ok. My wife is a nurse at Epworth, they really do a brilliant job and don't get enough recognition.

Yeah, im not sure If its an agenda by JJJ or if the quality just isnt out there atm or anymore.

Listening to 98s 100 and it is full of classic tracks and big bands. Nowadays seems more about bedroom made singer song writers and there just isnt that depth we used to have. Times have changed I guess.

Cheers.

She's all good now.

Yep, should be paid more.

Some sort of weird scam must be going on. Google mini got delivered from the sales channel under my name. Haven’t bought one and no money has come out of my accounts. Haven’t got anything from them before so no idea how they have my details

Sounds like it was great. Is it still the original crew touring? Keith Flint etc?

Such a fun night. Can only imagine how good they would have been to see 20 years ago. New songs are great too.

Heavens opened up with about 15 min left which was a godsend.

Outstanding.

Although I’m not as familiar with their recent work, I was lucky enough to see them in their prime. They toured Melbourne shortly after The Fat Of The Land was released.

Insanely good concert that was. The shit I saw that night. Wow.

Was underage at the time and amazingly snuck in somehow via a fake ID.

My name was Brian McGee. I sat up listening to Queen. When I was 17.
