Finished watching that Aaron Hernandez doc today. I thought it was really weird how they just brushed past the fact he was sexually abused as a kid. It literally got mentioned once and that's it. Considering how much they focused on his sexuality and the CTE, it just made no sense that they practically chose to ignore something so significant.
Could it be because they dont have sufficient evidence as to whom it was that abused him and with no charges/convictions they had to tread carefully around it?

They just did a live press conference and one of the officials said that there were 9 people on board, instead of the initial reports of 5. :(

Yes I caught that too, 9 in total including other children who were heading to the same basketball game. Horrendous.

I no longer get upset by celebrity deaths. **** knows why, must be an age thing. Don’t follow basketball at all so this news didn’t affect me in the slightest

Well typing this unhelpful comment was a massive waste of your time, then. And frankly, having to read it was a waste of ours.

Well they embellished the stuff about his high school QB so they could just have easily done the same about the abuse if they wanted to.

I'm not a basketball fan, but at work whenever we toss something in the bin it's always followed by saying Kobe. He is/was a part of pop culture and this a sad day for everyone involved or effected.

Yep, was thinking this earlier. Throwing paper/plastic in my desk bin will never feel the same - nor will launching my laundry into the washing basket.

Gone but never forgotten. 75 years to the day since Auschwitz was liberated by the Russians.

One of the best yet utterly saddening and depressing accounts to follow on twitter. Helps a lot putting everyday problems back into perspective

Was never a Lakers or Kobe fan but couldn't help but respect both and waking up to that news was probably one of the few celeb deaths that shook me. RIP legend

I should have added “RIP” but I get what you’re saying. Just an honest take though guv. He will probably almost be canonised now so my take doesn’t matter one bit. But sorry I can’t get emotional about someone who threw a ball into a basket. But RIP to him and especially his little girl which is heartbreaking, but RIP also to everyone else who lost their lives in accidents today

The footage of the crash looks terrifying, knowing what was about happen and being helpless to do anything.

Apparently the footage is fake, but who knows.
