So Centrelink is a nightmare. Finally got it linked to my MyGov late last night. Start the process of signing up to jobseeker. Get to the end and it says I need to fill out 2 more forms having declared my business and unit trust...they are 24 and 30 pages long respectively. Scanning through, and they request several accompanying documents. By the time I get info together, the lockdown will be over. I think I’m just resigned to taking money out of my mortgage...all that effort to pay ahead and end it early could be done and dusted...depending how long this goes

Centrelink struggles at the best of times, I had all sorts of issues with family tax and CCB. Hold times of 1-2 hours common with the amount of call centre operators constantly getting slashed. Niggling minor issues required constant resending of documents.

In times like this they really need to simplify everything and make sure that everyone can access the help they need. I suspect they make people jump through hoops so claims can be rejected due to an inevitable minor mistake which means the whole thing resets and is delayed further. Hope you don't have too many m porr headaches, best of luck.

We're creeping up toward 20% of our staff off self isolating at the moment. That's doubled in the past few days.

The reporter at St Kilda beach even said that a group of people yelled at the news crew that they weren’t doing anything wrong because they’re all sitting one and a half metres apart. You really can’t cure stupid.

I voted around 10 days ago in early voting.

They opened up voting over the phone last week too I believe. So plenty of opportunities to vote.

But agree they could just postpone the election

All elections have early and postal voting, not voting isn't an option here unless you want to cop a fine but there's always a reasonable option.

No-one should be fined for not voting given the circumstances.

There would be a good case for declaring any election result null and void.
