I don't think people are arguing against opening up like the rest of Europe are doing. But look at the case numbers versus the UK and you'll see they are managing it better. Indoor dining in Germany is for negative antigen testing, vaccinated or recovered. The UK it's for any pisshead.

So I can go out for a meal but can't take my 13 year old and 11 year old (who are unvaccinated, not pissheads) with me?

Or Mrs moomba who has just had the one jab.

On second thoughts, sounds a good night out.

Pretty sure under 16s are seen as fine as most vaccines aren't approved for them yet or needed.

And yeah, sucks don't it but that's how it works. I haven't got a single jab yet and that's how it is going to work in Ireland more than likely

Any tips on dealing with wedding anxiety? Getting married in 3 days and am absolutely bricking it. Terrified of having a panic attack/yacking from nerves while waiting at the altar. How do I deal?

Alcohol? Deep breathing? Imodium? Or should I just stop being a little bitch about it?

Drugs.

I'm normally a chill person when it comes to this stuff, but getting married in a year I'll probably be the same.

Shag her sister.

Wedding anxiety will not be a concern any more. Problem solved, you're welcome.

A few beers before the ceremony to ease the nerves/take the edge off. Was at a wedding two weeks ago and the Groom and best man both had a hip flask haha

Expect the bride to be late, they almost always are. Just try and enjoy it. The days is for you. Your best man should be helping you with this stuff. Distracting you, cracking jokes, etc

That'd land me in prison & I'd need to register with the authorities. Thanks, though.

True. Thanks, big fella.

Not the worst idea on here. Chur, Gosh!

I'll probably go with Scotch/Red wine to keep the insides empty.

My misso is annoyingly punctual. Wouldn't surprise me if you're right, though. My best man is a pretty laid back character so I'm sure that'll work in my favour. Legend - thanks for that.

How'd you know I'm a big fella? 😂

The Irish are always late.. so I'm wondering if they'll be later than Irish late or just late. If you tell my missus to be somewhere at half 7 she'll probably be leaving at half 7

Exciting news for me, my daughter gave birth to twins. Boy and a girl both healthy, proud as punch.

Mate just think of how great the day is gonna be.

Try and take everything in, the day flies by and will be over before you know it.

Having good people around you will be the difference, which it sounds like you do. As mentioned, the day goes so quickly. You’ll be king for a day, and before you know it the day will have come and gone. Enjoy, and congratulations.

Brilliant news chef, congratulations as well. Hope they’re all doing great and hope your daughter is recovering well.

In a family where I am the only one who doesn't suffer with the 'fashionably late' affliction there is no such thing as 'annoyingly' to me. Wish I knew more people who were where they'd say they'd be and when.

Congrats too btw.

Bont and Libba are not acceptable name choices to be suggesting.
You old, fossil.

Congratulations.

Just chill out, try and focus on things to keep you busy. I was lucky, my wife and I stayed at the venue the night before in separate rooms, and she set everything up the morning of the wedding, so by default I had to be tucked away in a room, but if you can't do that, try and focus on how to get the venue set up. Once she went off to get ready I was out setting up the sound system, talking to the celebrant etc. it just keeps you focussed and thinking of the next thing you have to do. Have you done a rehearsed ceremony? Even just a practice walk down the aisle to the song you guys are using? That helped massively because once the music started I knew what to expect.

You'll be fine. :) And congrats!

Honestly it's actually best to organise for the bride to be late, it's essentially a custom, otherwise you'll have guests arriving as she's trying to walk down the aisle. Think it's normally 15 mins that's default? Others might know better than me though.

Yeah - it's either that or a surf for me. Can't really do that while waiting for the bride, though! Grats on the healthy bubs, also.

Mate just think of how great the day is gonna be.

That's a good point. Appreciate it mate. Having an additional reception in Melbourne in two months, as all my family is down there. So the planning will continue after we've said our vows. I totally get the gist, though.

Excellent, thanks Glen. We have great people around us - I'll try and focus on that as much as possible. More than anything, I'm excited for this next chapter of our lives.

Haha yeah, I suppose it's an endearing quality - I'm just the exact opposite.

Thanks mate.

Wow, this is fantastic advice.

Pretty much everything is taken care of & catered for. My fiancé has organised the ceremony & reception to the nth degree. All I have to do is "turn up on time, and sober".

The wedding is at the beach, so it'll be tough to chill out anywhere adjacent to the venue (unless I decide to surf prior ).

That's a good point - I'll voice this to her!

Thanks for all your help, mate. It means a heck of a lot.
