What on earth are you on about? We see him track them to Cloud City, we see him capture them with Vader, we see him take Han to Jabba. Did you even watch ESB? Seems as if you went into a coma two thirds into ROTS and woke up for the start of ROTJ.
I more meant we dont see him do anything awesome. If he tracked them to Cloud City and then fought Lando, Han, Chewie and heaps of guards in some epic battle and captured Han Solo by himself, reports to Vader he has him, then Vader shows up and put him in carbonite. Then you could be like, why does he die like a bitch at the start of ROTJ?

But you dont see any of that. Vader does all the heavy lifting. Boba Fett really does nothing at all.

Well sure, but that's the entire reason that a Boba Fett movie would be great to actually see him do stuff like that on screen. The whole appeal of the character is how little he was seen in the OT.

McGregor was not wooden in the first two.

Did you miss the last third of the movie?

Eh? So you're complaining about the lack of good actors rather than good characters? I have no idea which it is.
Let's be honest the only good characters in the prequels are Obi-Wan but only in the last movie and Palpatine.

Even classic characters like Yoda, C3P0 and R2D2 are made to be completely unnecessary.

Im still annoyed with how he handled Yoda in the prequels. Some of it was so cool but then it was immediately undone by it being stupid. Lucas is his own worst enemy.

Oh for sure, but I was just arguing the point that Boba Fett died in a stupid way and he deserved a better death which of course he does. But at the time, Boba Fett wasnt the Boba Fett we know today.

He was just one of the few bounty hunters we saw on screen and he looked the coolest so got to be the one to help Vader capture Han. He only became a super bad ass bounty hunter later in the expanded universe because everyone loved the character and wanted to see more of him.

Knowing what we know now, if we were re-shooting ROTJ, we would make Boba Fett go out way cooler than what he did.

He didn't die.

Soooo anyway.. How good are The Doors

Huzzah, now that's a good band right there. Riders of the Storm and Light My Fire my favourites of that lot!

Also... in regards to UK bands... as a Leicester fan... you should already know where that's going, but I've grown to like them especially with more exposure.

Beatles, Hey Jude of course. They do have a wide range of songs, you're bound to find one that you will like.

Queen, overrated, but they have some good stuff. Radiohead... mixed. Anin't nothing on my choices, though.

Star Wars... not exactly my cup of tea. They're alright though. I don't think the prequel three are as bad, but then again, I'm not a super Star Wars fan. Then again, I liked the Hobbit trilogy better on the basis that Bilbo is just a crapton more likeable than any of the Hobbits in LOTR.

I really need to see Civil War when I get the chance.

Any ideas on the best American band of all time? Hard one to call, might be the Pixies for me
Tough one. Don't listen to American bands as much as British ones but I would have to say either The Doors or Fleetwood Mac (even though they had a Brit) and, also The Beach Boys. Never really got into them but can't deny that they're one of the GOAT. My personal favourites, aside from The Doors and Fleetwood Mac, would honestly be The National, Queens of the Stone Age and The Strokes.

Their debut album was brilliant and their next two were also solid. Granted their latest was underwhelming and it has been about a decade since their last good one but I still rate them as one of the better American bands. They've announced a new album this year so hopefully they can get back to their best.

Never understood how people rave about to the strokes

Their first album was and is still amazing, they just blew 2001 away. Just one of those albums that is perfect from start to finish. Such a cool band.

They've never lived up to it with their other releases, but they were still solid.

While we're on the topic of music, what are people's favourite Aussie bands? It's tough to pick a favourite but the contenders would be The Church, Crowded House (Finn may have been a Kiwi but Nick Seymour and Pete Hester are/were Aussie and they formed in Melbourne) The Go-Betweens, Divinyls, INXS, Tame Impala and Something For Kate. Cold Chisel have a bit of a bogan rep these days but my folks liked them so I listened to a fair bit of their music on car trips. I have a bit of a soft spot for them and Don Walker is a fine songwriter. However, AC/DC are absolutely overrated, they're heralded as rock gods but I find them incredibly samey.

Crowded House easily the best Australian Band for mine.

Also a big fan of a not too well known but still excellent and sadly split up band called Papa vs Pretty.
