While we're on the topic of music, what are people's favourite Aussie bands? It's tough to pick a favourite but the contenders would be The Church, Crowded House (Finn may have been a Kiwi but Nick Seymour and Pete Hester are/were Aussie and they formed in Melbourne) The Go-Betweens, Divinyls, INXS, Tame Impala and Something For Kate. Cold Chisel have a bit of a bogan rep these days but my folks liked them so I listened to a fair bit of their music on car trips. I have a bit of a soft spot for them and Don Walker is a fine songwriter. However, AC/DC are absolutely overrated, they're heralded as rock gods but I find them incredibly samey.

Big fan of INXS, Crowded House and of course Silverchair and a personal favourite of mine, Jebediah who I grew up on.

I find everything after BSSM a bit meh. Didnt like the change of direction personally.

Was a huge fan back in the 80's and early 90's when i was a skater. Loved Freaky Styley and Mothers Milk to me was their best Album.

Yeah he has passed Tomic I think? At 21 he is well on track to be a top 10 player. Tomic is 23 going on 24 he should be getting to the stage where the brat stuff goes away or it just stays for good

What are you on about? I argued at the time that he didn't care about the Sydney International to focus on the Australian Open. He went the deepest of any Aussie at the Australian Open. My point was proven. In fact in the post you quoted I was making that very point.
