He was put in as tank commander so he needs to meet his objective. Doesn't want to end up like Rommel am i right Son of Skeletor ?

Rommel met most of his objectives ;)

For my money the ultimate tank commander is this guy..

Rommel's son died today at 84 apparently he was a longtime mayor of Stuttgard. Manfred Rommel. The Red Baron's name was Manfred.
I can see future Americans with the Lebron Jordan Kobe first names.

I think you have a future as a history teacher and a professor of sociology!

interesting one - do you be happy with the win or rip into JG for not listening to instructions? must be hard for a new coach with only college experience to walk in Doc's shoes

Personally, I'd rip into him.

What if the shot didn't go in? Either way he betrayed the orders of his coach, one of the most disrespectful things a player can do to their own coach.

if you look at the footage he has the team in a huddle on court whilst the refs are reviewing, looks fairly stern, might be doing just that

Oh please.

Care to explain any further? No coach should be happy if a player doesn't listen to a direct instruction and thinks he knows better. I'd like to see you even begin to argue this one.

I'm happy he pulled it off though, nothing beats seeing Miami lose like that.

Yes there is... seeing the Lakers lose ;)

I think Jeff was using a bit of creative license with his version of it.

Stevens: "The guys really did a good job of getting from the huddle to the court and Jeff Green made a great play, while Gerald Wallace made a great pass... I had that play written down, but I have never run it before. I have run some variations of it but by then, you are free-styling it a little bit because you don’t know who is going to still be in the game."

Bradley: "When our coach draws up a play, we pay attention and execute."

"I knew it was going in. I told Coach that the ball needs to go to Jeff. He hit a big shot for us."

Fair enough then, doesn't seem like he strayed too far away from the original play which is good. I only read the part about going for a 2 and Jeff deciding he wanted to shoot a 3.

Celtics are looking a lot better now and still have Rondo to come back.

I have to say other than Utah it's been quite anti riggin for wiggin. The Kings have the second worst record. Are they making a play for the lottery?

I cut my teeth on the brilliant World at War series as a boy. The Red Baron was one of my favourite computer games around the same period. Not to say I don't know my history though :p .

There's history and then there's super-secret history:

That Red Baron was one diabolical fiend.

No, they just have John Salmons and Marcus Thornton on their team.

Cousins is so unpredictable they probably want to tank to get another piece for insurance

I think they need another piece (or three), period. McLemore and IT look like keepers, but the rest of that roster...

Cousins was really good both yesterday and today, but their outside shooting was deplorable. They need to surround him with better shooters, because the number of big men who can genuinely dominate from the low post in the NBA at present can be counted on one hand.

Things rarely eventuate like the coach wants them to coming out of the huddle. As almost every coach will say, there's only so much a coach can do. At the end of the day the players make the final decisions.

You take what the defence give you.

It would be like getting on players for not running the offensive sets to their design each possession.

Not to stray too much off topic as this is probably a thread worthy question? But has there ever been a greater 'run' in basketball than the 1983 NCAA Champions: North Carolina State?
Watching that 30 for 30 documentary again recently and it was unbelievably inspirational and crazy how they won that. One of the great underdog stories ever.
