Will he start? Think they need him off the bench, Pacers are last in the league in bench scoring (when you don't include Portland because that bench is D-League bad and should not be compared with any NBA team)
Yeah he is coming off the bench honestly i think they should make him a ginobilli type player.

Refereeing was pretty terrible. Definitely got the vibe that the NBA wants LA in the Playoffs. A few of the calls in the article were probably no calls, but it was over the whole game. I don't think Dwight hit Wes, but he got T'd up because of the frustration of feeling the refs have it in for you for the entire game. Likewise when LMA, a guy who rarely gets heated or teched got T'd up in the last. The Batum 3 on review I think they made the right call, call on the floor had to stand - was inconclusive, there was only one angle where I thought that it was a 3, and it wasn't overly clear. Probably should have been a foul on the other Nic play too. Lillard copped a lot of contact in the lane for no call, and on the other end Kobe got breathed on and went to the line (one in particular in the last when he pushed off Wes and got the and1) I guess we should be used to it when a smaller market team plays a team like the Lakers, and a rookie comes up against a guy like Kobe, but it still sucks
To me it was staples center calls you will see for a home team whether you're in Utah, Denver or OKC and assisted by the fact that LA have the highest FTA differential in the league thanks to hack-a-dwight and Kobe calls. And that it appeared to me having also now watched most of the second half that LA were more aggressive in the paint, while Portland settled for more Js. That adds up to be a good recipe to lose the foul call tally.

It didn't have the vibe of being Sterned to me or any directive from NBA HQ, just a usual home game in the NBA where the refs crew generally give some home cooking on tough calls. As the away team you just have to suck it up, especially a team like Portland who I would think with that home crowd at the Rose Garden would average more FTAs at home than away.

Tough loss for a team on a tough stretch of losses (that probably added to the frustration).

Indiana Detroit is a great game so far!!.

Just turnovers and missed shots so far

smashh you sound frustrated. i can empathise. when we lost to the bobcats, suns, cavs, magic we were on the wrong end of teh calls.

If the Raps could somehow slot into a 7th seed they could be very dangerous... ideally they'd want NY to push up to 2nd tho ;)

What a boring day of ball.

corporations are becoming a law to themselves too many times. sterns legacy was to let super teams form, and ultimately let lebron run the whole damn thing

i read the article heading and realised it was a blazer article. went to latimes but didnt find a similar article.

I actually find SB Nation to be a relatively reserved zone for articles, all things considered - of course it depends on the team/writers.

That's the first article that I've seen couched in that kind of language all season, from any writer on the entire site.

I dunno- despite what Larry Coon may say (let's face it, he works for ESPN who are not exactly impartial), 3:1 free throw ratios and 2:1 foul ratios are rare statistical anomalies, particularly in a game that close. The NBA's transparency when it comes to officiating procedures is about zero, and they've been resistant to change that for a very long time.

So I havent been around much guys due to watching hte first 2 and a bit seasons of walking dead.
I had a lot of catching up to do...cannot believe I didnt get into it earlier. Question is who is everyones favourite character (can be dead already)? *NO SPOILERS PLZ - im not up to the latest ep just yet*

Jarrett Jack is underrated IMO. Hes had more minutes lately and has been carving up. Dirk back to some form will make the Mavs fans happy.

Does anyone else hate the All-Star break? I jsut cant get into the manufactured, over hyped, carnival style games. When you know they arent going 100% it just doesnt get the blood flowing. The only one I really like watching is the skills challenge.

Daryl is by far my favourite.

The Kaboom is falling so far tonight in Miami. They look totally unstoppable when it does.

Agreed. It sounds great on paper, but I reckon it ends up being a fizzer.

Dont mind the skills challenge and the 3pt contest, but that's about it. Would be nice if the stars went into the dunk contest.
