I'm not sure which song he did back up singing for cap'n davey, but Cast No Shadow was dedicated to him. And A Northern Soul back at Noel.
As for question 2, I ____ing hope not.

Maybe, But being the drummer for The Who also explains it...

Yes maybe but if he wanted to be in one of England's best ever bands which is still producing great music you would've thought he would join Oasis full time instead of touring with a 40 year old band.

Nothing against The Who they are a great band.

I don't believe that there is any feud between Zac or Noel. However, Noel is apparently a very good drummer in his own right, and he has admitted in the past that this makes him intolerable of a drummer not being able to do what he wants them to do.

Maybe Zac's committments with the Who have come in the way of live tour dates and last world tour The Who had to postpone work on their album to let zac tour.

Still, until i have heard something official i don't know what to believe.

I must admit, i rated Zac's drumming on the rock n roll Oasis tunes which are by far their best songs, songs like Morning Glory, Bring it on Down, Lyla, Acquiesce, Rock N Roll Star he absolutely smoked on their last tour, easily better then Alan White in this regard.

Thought his fills on the slower classics like Wonderwall, DLBIA and Champagne Supernova were just alright, he used to miss the second drum solo in DLBIA which is a great part of the song.

I remember Noel saying though if Zac left then that would be it for Oasis. So im not sure what to think.

Hey all, I found some Oasis random tracks that I don't even think are B-Sides, they're just unreleased songs. They are as follows:

Better Let You Know
I Will Show You
Life In Vain
Merry Xmas Everyone
Must Be The Music
See The Sun

Now I hadn't heard of these at all, but you guys probably have. If not, I'm willing to put them onto a file sharing site if someone with computer literacy could let me know how to. The quality of them are fair shite but they're worth a listen. If these songs are well known and you blokes have them, my bad, ignore this then:o

I have I Will Show You, See The Sun, and Merry Christmas Everyone of those. If I have any of the others then I can't remember them atm. Merry Christmas version I have is live on a radio show or something.

Yeah ive heard all of those. Think from memory some are from an old Noel demo tape made in 89. Ive got that tape, which is essentially rubbish, also a few on that that are not on that list though I think. Few of those ones are also from really early Oasis I think. Heard them before and again pretty average.

Long story short the songs are pretty common and are generally pretty average.

Shows you far Noel has come.

I dobut it, Though anything that will make Williams pissed must be looked at:p

On a somewhat related note. Steve White,Bother of Alan, has quite being Weller's drummer because Noel played on Paul's new album...

Why the ____ would he quit because of that?

These muso's seem to be pretty thin skinned. If Starkey has quit it wouldn't be the first case, Ringo Starr briefly quit the beatles because Paul McCartney critizied his drummon on 'Back in the USSR'.

What a joke.

Bring back Alan White. He was the best drummer. We don't want any Robbie Williams products on the Oasis tour or in the studio.

Alan White - No chance what so ever of him coming back.

Robbie Williams drummer... would have thought to be a pisstake.

Something to do with Alan leaving/Getting sacked,. Pretty big move by Steve though. He's be Paul's drummer since he was 16...It's only a rumor at this stage. Paul might of got rid of him or he could not be leaving at all!

I thought Ringo left due to all the infighting?

Did the Robbie Williams drummer do the session work for the new album?

Did the Robbie Williams drummer do the session work for the new album?

Nah Zak Starkey did all the work that has been completed for the album, obviously an Single release will be coupled with 1 or 2 b-sides, most likely 2 going by previous releases.

Whether this B-side work is completed is yet unclear, consquently any B-side release may feature the work of an percussonist other then Zak Starkey, obviously this depends on whether the rumour is true.

THis is one reason why i think this rumour is untrue, what would Zak be disagreeing about with Noel, from what i have read basically Zak comes to the studio, and does whatever take Noel, or whoever wrote the song, wants him to do.

The only thing i can think of is that Zak has disagreed with Noel on tour dates and his availability. But then again, this is unlikey has Noel has known for 4 years that Zak will only be able to tour when he doesnt have other committments, a fact Noel acknowledged and accepted and said "suited him".

Anyway, i doubt there will be a full world tour anything like 2005, Liams voices cannot take the strain of having to sing 110 gigs in 10 months.

On SBS tonight, there is a documentary called Oasis: There We Were, Here We Are. I've read the preview on the SBS website and it said its about the making of Definitely Maybe. Is this the same thing as the documentary they did on DM which was released to commemerate 10 years since DM was released or is it different?

Pretty much the same thing edited down, from memory few different clips. Good viewing always good fun to watch.

Oasis There and Then Live at Maine Road 1996 is on tv tmo night on SBS to.

Great gig that one, would place it in the top 5 Oasis gigs. Great bootleg, can give a link to download if anyone wants.

Just listened to a couple of the new songs on You Tube.

"I Wanna Live a Dream" - great song. A little slow to start but it really picks up. Noel on vocals is great - the best part of the song is the bridge, I think it is the best part of the song.

"Stop the Clocks" - not bad but a bit too "acoustic" for me. Really needs some loud guitar beind it. I hope it makes the album - I do love the last 40 seconds or so - best part of the song.

"Nothing on Me" - didn't really like it at first but it will grow on me. Reminds me of the "Meaning of Soul"

It's been pretty quite since the songs leaked from the band so i thought id post this interesting news artical i found today.

OASIS STAR GALLAGHER IS CAR HERO

OASIS star NOEL GALLAGHER has been hailed a hero after he jumped in front of an out-of-control car to prevent it from hitting a row of houses.
The Wonderwall hitmaker was walking through his home neighbourhood of Marylebone, London last week (beg19May08) when he spotted a driverless Smart Car (small electric vehicle) rolling towards the sidewalk - after its owner forgot to apply the handbrake.
Gallagher reportedly stopped the car by jumping in front of it and bringing it to a halt by pushing against the bonnet.
A source tells British newspaper the Daily Star, "Noel lives in the area and must have been taking a walk in the weekend sunshine when the car buzzed by. It was flying down the road with no one inside and heading straight for some houses.
"He jumped out in front of the car and pushed it with all his might. The owner looked very embarrassed, but Noel took it all in good humour."
